  1. he's short he's hard....................... Barney get the f uck in
  2. Well that was writen in the stars wasn't it? Couldn't score for us if his life depended on it this season first match playing for someone else bang in it goes.
  3. oh when are we going to make corners count we never seem to score from corners ever.
  4. Well Harding comes across as someone with a temper (well at least with ball boys) maybe all the players are going to f uck the manager off to get a loan move to the championship?
  5. Missing this one gutted (and so's my nipper) this is the first home league match I've missed this season. Sadly I'm in the land of the Dons as it's my wife's grandads 80th birthday party tonight. So the in-laws computer is my only contact with this game. have we really dropped Harding one bad game and gets dropped?
  6. what sort of striker is he? a Lambert type or pacy one ?
  7. Well I have to admit I hadn't expected this thread to spark a mass cumming out of forum memembers.
  8. unnamed league one side could it be us? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/t/torquay_united/9207245.stm Nigel is supposed be good at spoting strikers and turning them in to the finished article isn't he?
  9. NA took the job knowing that though, I'm pretty sure he didn't say in his interview that he need to buy a load of players and needed a pre-season if NC wanted promotion this season. In fact I'm sure one of the first things Nigel said when he took the Job was how good our squad was. Also it's not up to the fans to give the manager a fair crack of the whip that's the job of our esteemed chairman.
  10. No of course I'm not. I'm pointing out that your comment is absurd it was ok for people to to have a problem with Lowe becuase you agreed with them however becuase you don't have a problem with NC no one else is allowed to have a problem with him. Leftback has always stated his problem with NC is he is not a football person and doesn't know what he is doing a opinion that is based on the info he has got from his source I may not agree with LB about every thing he says but he has a right to say it. Regardless of his opinion of NC his info is proving to be right time after time.
  11. So if the majority don't like the chairman it's ok to have an issue with him, however if lots of people don't agree with you you're just a s hit stirring trouble maker?
  12. Becuase they were playing for AP now he has gone it would appear some want out. Fair enough. Nigels the manager now so he needs players that will play for him this fine and natural. Problem is while Nigels molding his team and getting rid of those he doesn't want (or don't want to be here) it can't be helping our promotion push. Last season buying big in january and intergrating new players into the team seemed to cost us a dip in form this year with the league so tight we can't really afford a dip in form. It all makes the timming of APs sacking so frustrating if he'd gone in the summer Nigel could have built the team he wanted in the summer, If we weren't going to get rid of AP in the summer we should of stuck with him this season and backed him to the hilt. My gut feeling is still that if AP was here we would be doing better with the team we have now. I still think Nigel can get us promoted with a team he has built himself but I'm not sure it will be this season (which of course will mean Nigel might not be here to try next season). This is the problem saints have had for years everty time we change manager it seems we have to re-build the team too to match the new managers way of doing things , it would be nice to have a settled team and manager over several years for a change.
  13. I think those days died the day MLT played his last game for saints such players no longer exsist in modern football.
  14. From what leftback has being saying on different posts I think the team from last season is well on it's way to being dismantled seems like AP was the glue holding them together after all. Whole scale changes in january prehaps?
  15. before saturday weren't we only two points away though? of course peoples expectations are high, last season many people (not all) where prepared to except that -10 points, re-building a team and coming out of admin where reasons not expect to much from the season. This year with the money we've spent on this team and the way the team performed after christmas last season, we shouldn't be in tenth place saying "it's ok were in the mix" we should already be in the auto places IMO.
  16. They played it last season quite well the only difference was Wotton was sat in front of the defence and we had Antonio/Papa in the side oh and Lambert was in s hit hot form (unlike at the moment) so it's not like most of the players haven't done it before.
  17. AP didn't have the luxury of a pre-sesaon when he first came to the club either. Secondly the money AP spent on players (re-building a shell of a team) those players are now Nigels they haven't come down in price (well Lambert probably has)they are still the most expensive team in the league. Nigel shouldn't need to spend loads of money re-building the team the way AP did he already has a good team he just needs to get them playing well.
  18. you'll have a Harte attack?
  19. rightttttttttt so the fans are the cause really? This is an internet forum the whole point of this place is to spout off about crap results or revel in good ones. I find it ironic that some on this thread complaining about people having ago at Nigel where quick enough to put the boot into Pardew last season. Nigel f ucked up yesterday not by playing 4-5-1 or 4-4-2 but by not changing things sooner when it became clear things weren't working. I doubt that many want him sacked some how but I resevre the right to come on here and ***** if I think he has f ucked up.
  20. Luckily it's balanced out by being brillant at scoring from set pieces at the other end, we're deadly scoring from corners....................................... Oh
  21. In fairness AP got some good results out 4-5-1 (4-3-3) so it can be done.........
  22. They've been under performing for weeks but getting the wins despite of it, it's the managers job to make sure they don't underperform.
  23. oh bugger!T that's Nigels plan to play rugby tommorrow in an effort to confuse the opposition buggered then;)
  24. and how's he going to do that if its not by winning games? He got to the prem by winning games, Redknapp got into the top four by winning games. Winning games is the single most important thing a manager does. Talking of Redknapp he broke into the top four by spending a shed load of cash so surely that makes his achievment less? I agree win percentages aren't the whole story but at the end of the day everyone want's a manager with a high win ratio regardless of wheather it's achieved on a huge budget or none at all.
  25. yeah didn't see Leftbacks post (or rather saw it didn't notice who the poster was) still rather have Butters than Richardson though good to see Jaidi in.
