Southampton FC fan base, an embarrassment to the club.
doddisalegend replied to SKD's topic in The Saints
At the end of the day lots of different people pay to go to the football and have the right to support anyway they like. While I'd be quite happy if SMS was filled with 18+ red blood males, holding red flares and chanting for 90+ minutes in a cauldron of barely contained meance that has officials and the opposing teams ****ting themselves it ain't happen. So just do your own thing and stop stressing about what other people chose to do. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk -
Been saying the same re the wingbacks if we buy anything in Jan at least one speedie wingback is a must ( assuming we get a fit Bertrand back) to get the best out of the system Ralph has decided to play. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Neither is 90% of the current squad but we are stuck with them same for the youth we aren't going to get shot and replace all the crud in January. We will be lucky if we get one new signing in this Jan if you think the club are going to spend loads this window you'll be disappointed. I wouldn't be surprised to see Ralph give the youngsters a go as he tries to find a winning formula. Not because he wouldn't rather have some big money signings but because he won't get any. Your missing one point the club won't miss none of those lads will cost a penny the club are unlikely to shell out loads in Jan ( in fact the other Ralph said as much already) especially if Ralph thinks these lads can do a job he has already shown a willingness to use the youngsters. rather give Sims a go if we can recall him.
-
Not that we have much option, with current injuries and player issues, but that formation would work so much better with some proper pacey wingbacks.
-
I'm not sure anyone played that well on Sunday plenty of players worked hard but that's not the same thing as playing well.
-
Sadly Hoj isn't available...
-
yeah reckon so..

One thing that did **** me off was the cynical pretence of head injury by the citeh player in the first half when we had that one spell of pressure. The delay allowed Citeh to regain their composure and reorganise and stole our momentum of course the city player was fine to play on after that with no ill effects.

A great servant for the club and always came across as a good professional but he isn't really good enough for the PL now. No doubt he will get a new lease of life in the Scottish league and we need to trim a bloated squad so this move will be best for everyone.
-
No we lost and had a perfectly good goal ruled out to boot what's good about that? I can appreciate we can play well and lose (though today certainly doesn't fall into that category) but for a game to be good for me we have to win it (or possibly score a late equaliser to not lose).
-
Nope, even less so once I saw the team sheet, but I would never ever consider saints losing a good game...
-
Well if that's the criteria I guess we've seen lots of good games this season...
-
Dave's memory must be going then Liverpool, Wolves Chelsea, Man city away, Fulham, Spurs and Cardiff all ****ing awful performances In fact just about every game this season has been terrible...at least Ralph has the players working harder than Hughes managed.
-
what are you a man city fan it what way was it a good game for a saints fan?
-
I thought we looked like what we are a hard working team of very limited ability it looked like a cup match between a PL and a league 2 side out their today. Ralph has got us working harder (I couldn't fault any of the players work ethic today) than recent seasons and the players are trying, to close down, and move the ball forward quickly but they are let down constantly be their own limited ability. We have no pace in the squad, we have no game changers and no decent defenders today also showed we have a large squad with no depth. No chance we can change all the issues in Jan (it would take several good transfer windows I reckon) so we have to hope that Ralph can see us to safety through lots of hard work by a limited team to grind out enough points.
-
In his defence he worked hard today closing down and chasing and put one peach of ball into Austin who ****ed it right up. In reality he is no different to 90% of the squad not particularly good. The whole squad is full of players who aren't good enough for this level Ralph has at least got them working harder during games but they are let down by their own limited skill levels.
-
according to Ralph extremely unlikely We feel we have an extremely deep roster right now so at the moment we don’t plan to be active in January. We have the capability of being active but at the moment I would say we are not planning for activity in January. There are a lot of games so I would never say never but at the moment. We have a team in place capable of dealing with that process if needed. I have spent two days speaking to everybody and we have everything in place to continue to deal with the day to day business as always.

Maybe he doesn't fancy moving to Chelsea

Is that a young Shurlock proudly holding up the Waigo shirt at the end?

****ing lucky ****s to. Fleetwood get a man sent off, then the skates get a pen, two Fleetwood certain equilizers cleared off the line and now Pompey are 2-4 up Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

neither of them are as good as Hoedt...

**** me that's a ballsy decision by Ralph, if true, playing an 18 year old fullback without a 1st team appearance against citeh

Saints 1 West Ham 2 - Post Match Reality Check
doddisalegend replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
you seem a little wound up.. still struggling that Ralph hasn't picked JWP out, as the world beater he is, while still picking Redmond. Valery was awful for the second he was last man and while he was caught on the overload he chose inaction, like a rabbit in headlights, over at least trying to close the man with the ball down. As for youngsters I don't care how young they are if you are in the first 11 you need to perform. We are in a relegation scrap we don't have time to slowly bring players through. I was quite happy to praise Valery for his performance against Man U and Arsenal but he was poor against West Ham and so was Targett.
