So it seems Everton also have to a move players on to bring someone in this Jan @_pauljoyce: Marco Silva on January transfer window: “For us to do something it will mean someone has to leave the club.”
-
hey just a minute Everton have to unload players to bring in someone new... I thought it was only us that had to do that

could have been worse... On April 3, 2009, Scottish football players Barry Ferguson and Allan McGregor were permanently banned from the Scottish national squad for showing the V sign while sitting on the bench during the game against Iceland.

We absolute bellend Corbyn is calling for a general election if May's deal is defeated (which it will be) because that's just what the country needs at this time a general election in the midst of the chaos that is Brexit. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Got my tickets tonight 15 quid for me and the lad was good enough for me evening game under the floodlights beats watching it on the telly any day.

I'm pretty sure it's wages it doesn't make sense to just keep buying new players and adding to the wage bill while paying all or some (for those on loan) wages of players contributing next to nothing to the club of which we have quite a few at the moment. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

I doubt any saints fan thinks we have any player who is a world beater ...hell most would struggle to name more than two who are decent PL players.. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Southampton FC fan base: a credit to the club
doddisalegend replied to ashnats's topic in The Saints
I don't think the criteria is solely based on atmosphere the article seems to suggest it's based on a number of different things and is voted on by visiting away fans...on that basis there can't be many away fans who haven't enjoyed visiting SMS the last couple of years given our generous nature most of them have probably left SMS having had a great day... Getting Bertrand back ( assuming he has bought into Ralph's philosophy) would make a huge difference. Cedric and Bertrand on their game playing as wingbacks would certainly improve us in a 3-4-3 Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Who said anything about Puel? Batman said people wouldn't want Moyes and big Sam. My point is fans want a manager that wins no one cares how much of a cock or boring the manager is, or what tactics and formation he uses if he is bringing in 3pts most weeks. In the end the entertainment comes from seeing your team do well and winning. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Nobody would care if we where winning most weeks. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

I'd rather have been in Leicester's position the last two seasons than ours. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Great player for us over the years, sad to see him go, but I think the PL was getting a bit much for him in the twilight of his career this was a good move for everyone I feel.
-
Not if its Pompey..
-
So don't bother with a recognised striker most of our goal threat is coming from Redmond anyway these days so just play Armstrong and Lemina either side of him with Romeu and JWP behind
-
I have no problem with Sam getting a crack of the whip. He is faster the Austin and more likely to find the net than Long I think he would press better in Ralph's system. I'm not suggesting he is world beater but given our striker options (unless something changes in the Jan window) he can't be any worse than Austin and Long, Gabbi is clearly off and Ings has to be careful managed due to his injuries. The ideal would be to get in a new striking option in during the window (though I think better wingbacks is the priority this Jan) but failing that we aren't going to lose much by giving him a chance over Austin and Long.

Just watched one of those youtube vids of his skills and goals. a few things stand out he doesn't really do any skills, Swiss league defenders are **** poor, swiss league goal keepers look worse, most of his goals come from in and around the six yard box and he looks quite quick in comparison to the players he is playing with I think during his career he has a roughly one goal in three games ratio but Norwegian and Swiss football isn't anywhere near comparable to the PL where Moi looks out of his depth. Had Solent on in the garage disappeared back up the house and we where 2-0 up seemingly in control when I came back we are at 2-2 seemingly under the cosh we really need to learn how to control games a 2-0 up against lower league opposition you really should be seeing a game out. The biggest thing for me is this game highlights how dependent we have become on Redmond (and good on the lad going from not even in the squad last season to main man this season) for a goal threat if he gets injured we are going to struggle.
-
you could play both..
-
stats aren't particularly impressive (not the stats ever tell the whole story) started 9 (out of 17) six sub appearances 1 assist 2 goals looks like he is playing about the same level as he did with is https://www.whoscored.com/Players/234363/History/Sofiane-Boufal

Saint Lard has been saying the same thing on another thread for the last week or so. This guy could be repeating what he saw here (or maybe lard got it from this guy). Shame if true I wouldn't wish mental health issues on anyone.

Still think he is the most talented footballer in the squad but talent isn't any good without hard work and commitment on the pitch to and Lemina doesn't always seem to bring the latter. I have the same issue with Bertrand I know he is a good player but some of his performances the last few seasons have very much been a guy just going through the motions. At least Ralph seems to be prepared to drop players not putting in a shift so hopefully the talented players in the squad realise they have to work hard or not play regardless of how good they think they are.

Yay the Liverpool keeper channeling his inner Kelvin there beaten at his near post. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
