What a massive waste of time the upshot of all this is May is now going to go back and try re-negotiate the back stop, she all ready agreed to, with the EU who have said they won't negotiate on the backstop. They should have just put the deal back to a second "Do you want to except the deal or a no deal" referendum just let the public decide and take party politics out of the whole thing.

Voters have been sent Ukip branded leaflets that label supporters of Theresa May’s Brexit deal as ‘national traitors’. The flyers, sent to homes in Chichester, describe people supportive of the Prime Minister’s agreement as a “state enemy” and tell voters “we’re watching you”. https://inews.co.uk/news/politics/were-watching-you-ukip-issues-leaflet-threatening-national-traitors-who-support-theresa-mays-brexit-deal/ Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

I saw this on one of those transfer rumour sites this morning I'm putting it down as most likely bollix but honestly if true I'd find it pretty funny Chelsea are thought to be preparing a £40m bid to re-sign former Blues defender Nathan Ake.

With a transfer ban I assume they wouldn't be able to sign Gallagher. I doubt there is any chance of prizing Che away from Birmingham short of paying way over the odds for him which doesn't really make sense to do. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Yes but do we want to be offering a stupid amount for a player who has been decent at championship level. £8 million seems fair similar to what we paid for Armstrong. More than that we might as well utilize Gallagher whose goal scoring exploits where pretty much identical to Che's last season in the same team. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Interesting comparing him to Gallagher at Birmingham 2017-2018 in the same season about the same number of league appearance and about the same number of league goals ( Gallagher had 3 more league appearances and one more goal that season than Che). This guy is more of a wide man Redmond type than an out and out striker though? Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

That was one of the softest yellows ever the defending from both sides for the goals was horrendous very poor.

What club would be stupid enough to sign up to a loan with an obligation to buy... Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

I put that down to playing the semis at Wembley should just be a home of away game like all the other rounds two potential trips to Wembley in short order is bloody expensive.
-
I must have missed all the games he has played recently then...

Which rather points out how weak we are in both sides of the fullback/wing back positions doesn't it? given our favoured formation of 3-4-3 the wingbacks are pretty vital and we have two left backs that are injured more often than not a young right back who is still learning and an even younger rightback who isn't ready as back up. No one has any problem with shifting out the chaff in the squad but surely the whole point of freeing up money by shifting players out was to give us funds to strengthen the squads weak areas to avoid relegation?

Interesting reading KUMB this morning how much they sounded like us a few seasons ago arguing about 7th vs a cup run. I really don't understand why mid table PL teams don't do more in the cups. Sure if you are battling it out for top 4 or battling relegation the cup isn't a priority but for all those teams where you are safe why not put your best team out and go for silverware? the fans of the mid table sides would clearly love a trophy and realistically it's your best chance but managers continue to put out weakened sides in the quest for 7th.

this one? yeah that certainly puts a different light on it

Everton fans really don't seem to impressed with him. Funny how many on here thought Silva was a great choice of manager... They have a manger out thread started at 7.30 that has reached 10 pages already https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/manager-out-vote.106165/page-2

about 6.12 looks like Jos the boss's hand to me

It on Tadanari's Southampton highlights youtube video (over 8 minutes long somehow ) at about 2.12 soft very very soft..

Collins English Dictionary definition of Cull 5. to cease to employ; get rid of clearly I wasn't suggesting the club go with definition 3 3. to reduce the size of (a herd or flock) by killing a proportion of its members https://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english/cull

I don't think people have a problem with thinning the squad, most of us have been calling for a cull for a while, and no one is gagging for replacements for the likes of Hoedt either. The only point of contention has been Cedric because it leaves us short of cover Valery isn't better than Cedric, and Ramsey is no where near good enough, so its one place where it makes sense to sign a replacement for a player that has left or leave ourselves weaker for the rest of the season. Maybe as the ITK smiley winked a new RB will be here in the window if so happy ****ing days. The issue with signings though is it's still the same people responsible, that have been for the last few windows, minus Les and they don't have a great track record in getting it right (and that isn't just identifying players but actually getting them signed and in the squad) so don't inspire confidence.

just found a clip of it that puts Vardy to shame

Football fans are always quick to point out penalties that their team didn't get or the dodgy penalties the opposition are awarded. But I was thinking what about dodgy penalties we have been award over the years the sort that even with your best red and white glasses on you have to say "the ref got that one wrong" First up I'll give you Fonte against Brighton in the championship (about 1.20 in) I was at that game and I don't remember complaining about it out the time I'm sure there must be others can anyone think of any?
-
Of course he will have a say every manager we've had, since the take over, has had a say in players (see Carillo) but the nitty gritty of signing players isn't left to the manager hence why we got the Walcott and Promes fiasco last season. Its perfectly easy to have confidence in the manager but less confidence in the club to deliver what the manager wants.
-
Manager Ralph won't be the one responsible for getting new signings in (it hasn't been the managers responsibility for a long time and Les going hasn't changed that) that will be down to wee Ross and chairman Ralph I can see why that would concern people...
-
Hopefully the club will do better than last January where Walcott was (allegedly) all primed to come before ending up at Everton and I'm still waiting for Promes to sign...[emoji52] Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

I wasn't actually bashing the club I think the squad has way to many overpaid passengers so I'm more than happy for Ralph to trim the squad down to those willing to work hard to his methods. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Except it doesn't look like they are replacing him... Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
