Saturday 3pm - Spain kicks up a fuss - TV versus the fans ?
doddisalegend replied to manina-pub's topic in The Saints
I don't. Live games are far better than watching it on the telly anyway. If I can't be at the game I'll listen to it on the old radio while doing something else and watch the highlights on the O/S or MoTD. If there is footie on terrestrial telly I might watch but it lacks something for me when it isn't saints playing as I'm just not invested in the result. 3pm on a Saturday afternoon is the perfect time for a football game imo allows you you to make a day of it. I do like an evening game under the floodlights but getting home from work, getting ready, then fighting through rush hour traffic and trying to get some tea in before the match is a load of stress I can do without especially on a monday. Democracy means a mere 180,000 people getting to vote on Britain's new PM...

The new global Britan out on our own taking care of business without needing those nasty Europeans... We've been here before in 2004 and 2007 both times we negotiated a bit and then gave in to Iran to get our sailors back. We aren't in a position to do anything else it isn't 1870 anymore we can't just send a gunboat over there and make some threats and watch Iran fold. The yanks aren't going to do **** all especially under Trump who is all mouth and trousers.

just got 30 million for Ayoze Pérez though so net spend and all that.

with the help of, at one time another depending on the war, the French, Belgians, Russians, Italians, Dutch, Greeks, Serbians (Yugoslavians), Norwegians, Poles, Czechs, Danes and the Portuguese. Even at it's zenith as a world super power Britain always needed friends in Europe...

Yes the quote being about Waterloo where he commanded a cosmopolitan army of Europeans ( Scots, Irish, English, Welsh, Dutch, Belgians and Germans) supported by a second army full of Germans. In fact many of the armies the great "English" hero Wellesley commanded was full of non Englishmen whether in India, Spain, Portugal or Flanders... Little facts like that won't stop the likes of JRM and Boris trying to hijack British history for their own little Englander fantasies though. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Wouldn't say the man u fans on Red cafe where exactly thrilled about signing Lemina [emoji1] Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Players are only worth what someone is willing to pay for them. If no one is offering us 30 million for him he isn't worth 30 million. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

I love articles like this do they pay an attention to what actually goes on at saints. Not having a go at Lemina but this line is just bollix "after standing out at St Mary’s two years after signing from Juventus." He hasn't stood out hell last season he could barely get in the match day squad. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

I like Lemina I think there is a good player in there but he was poor last season (acknowledging that he had injury problems) to the point where I'd be surprised the likes of Man U where even vaguely intrested. If they are I might suggest we have a number of saints players available who played to a similar level last season they can have [emoji16] Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

I wonder if Trump will answer this desperate plea... Tommy Robinson has launched a public appeal for Donald Trump to grant him asylum in the US as he faces being jailed in the UK. The EDL founder was found in contempt of court last week after filming defendants on trial and broadcasting it on social media in breach of a reporting ban. He begged the US president for help and asked that his administration analyse the case in the hope he would be granted political asylum in the US. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/tommy-robinson-begs-donald-trump-to-grant-him-asylum-in-us/ar-AAE2w2F?ocid=spartandhp

Though in fairness I suspect lots of people wouldn't have a clue about the war of 1812. I doubt many people realise the US invaded Canada and got beaten, or that British soldiers burnt down the White House or that the British attacked New Orleans and where beaten off by a rag tag US army that contained French pirates...wonder why trump didn't mention any of those in his speech? Well this is pretty damning worst conservative government in a long time and Labour can't even touch them.. Labour crashes to fourth in poll for first time as frontbencher admits voters fleeing party Just 18 per cent of public backs Jeremy Corbyn’s party https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/labour-brexit-corbyn-opinion-poll-yougov-general-election-conservatives-a8987491.html

The **** at work who decides to milk the work absence policy for every drop of time off and then claim he can only do light duties, at work, while the rest of us have to work extra hard to cover his lazy arse.

Your wife/girlfriend/mistress will frequently say one thing but mean the complete opposite. If she says everything is "fine" or "nothing is wrong" she actually means she is not "fine" and "something is wrong"....

well this might be one reason... Farage is the sole director of Thorn in the Side, a company he founded in 2011 to handle earnings from media appearances and lectures. The latest accounts revealed a big jump in the company’s assets, reaching £548,573 for the year to May 2018, compared with just over £157,000 for the previous year. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/nigel-farage-earns-at-least-€30000-a-month-from-media-company/ar-AADMCct?ocid=spartandhp I think Nigel will secretly be very upset if Brexit ever happens he has made an absolute mint out of the EU over the years..

It's Farage all over. He actually entered a brexit party rally to the sound of air raid sirens the other day how ****ing crass is that? https://www-indy100-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/www.indy100.com/article/nigel-farage-brexit-party-big-vision-rally-air-raid-sirens-watch-video-8982261?amp_js_v=a2&_gsa=1&&usqp=mq331AQA#referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&_tf=From%20%251%24s&share=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.indy100.com%2Farticle%2Fnigel-farage-brexit-party-big-vision-rally-air-raid-sirens-watch-video-8982261 Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Happy with that. If we signed him from a another club for 14-17 million I'd think we'd lost the plot. -
...have her arrested Woman arrested after asking her bodybuilder husband to clean the house more A woman was arrested and charged with 'controlling behaviour' after asking her bodybuilder husband to help out around the house. Valerie Sanders, 58, from Catterick, North Yorkshire, claims all she did was ask Michael, 58, to ditch some of his gym sessions and to Hoover and clean the patio doors. However, she ended up spending 17 hours in a cell and then faced charges of controlling behaviour. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/woman-arrested-after-asking-her-bodybuilder-husband-to-clean-the-house-more/ar-AADuKY4?ocid=spartandhp Seems like an excellent use of police resources.
