  1. Why are we trying to play this 4-2-2-2 thing getting done down done the wings so easily. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  2. Going by Solent we are getting totally outplayed so far.. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  3. it's like watching Moi Elyounoussi struggling against a league one side... Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  4. Interestingly up beat from the guardian about our weekends performance. Another game, another defeat for Southampton but all associated with the team should take encouragement from how they performed against Liverpool. The hosts more than matched their opponents during the first half and, while somewhat overwhelmed after the interval, they stayed in the contest and ultimately came within a firmer Danny Ings touch of snatching a draw. What generally impressed about Southampton’s display was their balance and organisation within a 3-5-2 formation. Everybody looked comfortable in their respective positions and there is a definite gameplan: stay compact, press at the right times and stretch the play whenever possible. In that regard Yan Valery looks as if he could be a particularly potent weapon for Ralph Hasenhüttl’s side. The 20-year-old was a consistently threatening presence on the right wing and it was from his excellent cross that Southampton could have, and should have, equalised. 5. I used to but once it went from a small, easily stored in my back pocket, program to a larger, more expensive, match day magazine I stopped. It used to be part of the match day routine buying one off the bloke, in the flat cap and big beard, at the chapel end on my walk up to the stadium but it kind of died when we got smartly dressed types selling match day magazines from kiosks. 6. We looked more dangerous and direct with Armstrong and Mossua at the end of the game I'm not sure that's argument to have started the game with them though. Ralph seems to have set up to be defensively solid ( or at least as much as he could with the options available to him but that's another story) and then planned a late attacking flurry towards the end of the game once pool tired on the back of a mid week game. I quite like Armstrong but he has proved to be a bit of a liability in his defensive duties and tends to give the ball away in dangerous places starting with him probably wouldn't have been a good idea. 7. I'm not going to claim he is great or anything but as I watched him pull off a successful tackle, right in front of me, late in the game I have to question the accuracy of the stats.
  8. Every time the ****s come to SMS they set off smoke bombs and every time the stewards and old bill seem to look the other way and pretend to not notice. Still throwing a smoke bomb isn't as bad as using foul language according to the clubs own guidelines..
  9. He was one of our best players today lots of interceptions and some good tackles. He was hamstrung slightly by the yellow card (not that his well timed tackle was even a foul let alone a card) but overall he played much better than hoj or JWP today. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  10. Not really sure how good he is going to be but I think he will be entertaining to watch this season. Certainly he likes the dramatic flourish when he gets fouled. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  11. I reported the pitch invader, in the high vis yellow top, with the whistle the **** was clearly breaking the hate crime rules against people wearing red and white. Hopefully a long match ban is coming his way. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  12. Sat here at SMS feeling a little robbed A very even half of football we certainly weren't out played in the first half. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  13. Persistent standing equals ejection does that mean most of the Northam, Itchen North and away fans (not the ones in hospitality obviously) will be getting kicked out in the first 10 minutes today?
  14. So throwing flares and smoke bombs is consider less of an offense than bad language ….OK
  15. No doubt the away fans will be setting off smoke bombs with impunity at this weekends game..while the stewards desperately seek a saints fan to eject. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

  17. Well the good news is they managed to get all the "don't be naughty this season" letters to the Itchen north ST holders before the first home match.... Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  18. TBF he (and the players) have been half the problem. They might not have got the club they where expecting but arguably we haven't really got the players they promised to be either. That fact is, the second half of last season apart, he has been distinctly average in his time here...good at saying the right things in interviews not quite so good at delivering on the pitch. Not that he has been the only player like that the last few years. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  19. I've had mine a couple of weeks nippers arrived last week. I'm pretty surprised people still haven't got theirs that sucks. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  20. Yeah I know my oldest turns 18 next week seems like only yesterday he was running around the back garden in a nappy. Not sure 59 is quite coffin dodger territory yet though Nick [emoji6] Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  21. UK should give British nationality to Hong Kong citizens, Tugendhat says https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/aug/13/uk-british-nationality-hong-kong-citizens-tom-tugendhat Interesting idea, given the current political climate in the UK, wonder what the Tory coffin dodgers would make of this? 22. We can’t say we didn’t know John Bolton was a snake before we took him in Trump’s national security adviser is in Britain to exploit UK weakness for US self-interest and absolutely nothing more. https://www.independent.co.uk/voices/brexit-us-uk-trade-deal-john-bolton-liz-truss-a9056106.html Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  23. Wouldn't bother me the most interesting games in the FA and league cups are the ones between lower league minnows Vs one the big boys. Having said that, if it where up to me, I'd scrap the league format for European competitions and just play it as a straight cup knock out competition between the winners of every league and convert the Europea league into the same format but for the equivalent of each countries fa cup winner. No replays one game and pens per round. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  24. Here's an article from a couple of years back. It seems there are checks but they aren't hard to bypass if you want a gun. https://www.euronews.com/2017/11/08/how-easy-is-it-to-purchase-a-firearm-in-the-us Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  25. I'm going to criticise Ralph a little bit here. With the current options Ralph has at CB you have to question why he would pick Stephens over Yoshida? With the players we have Yoshida and Bednarek should be the first two CBs in the team. Ralph has also had all summer to work on the defence and a find a formation that best protects our fragile back line yesterday suggests he hasn't really done that and we looked no different from last season.
