The midfield are anything but defensive they are to slow to get forward to support an attack and to slow to get back to help the defence. Thier lack of pace means they just loiter in the middle of the pitch and trying to look busy before attempting (and failing) a 5 yard pass to a team mate. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Worst performance I've seen in a while ( which is saying something after the cross we've been served up) this was up with a MoPe performance. I've kind of accepted are players are mostly ****e but under Ralph at least they've grafted and fought. Today they couldn't even be arsed to do that they just didn't show up. The reality of it is apart from Long (and Gunn depending on your point of view) that was probably our best team, on paper, and it really isn't very good. I'm not really sure how we can improve either. Ralph brought hard work and a simple gameplan to a very limited squad last season which was enough to keep us up but the squad is still limited and huff and puff will only get you do far. I think what the last few games have shown is we have side that would do pretty well in league one.... Ahhh well if it all goes tits up at least I will still have the derby game to warm my cockles during the cold EFL evening games. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Another long painful season ahead. I think this might be the worse I've seen us play in a while really not enjoying my afternoon at SMS. We are second best all over the pitch. That's probably our best defence out there and it's still ****ing awful. Midfield is woeful ( Romeu best of the bunch) but probably out best midfield [emoji3064] due to lack of options. Attack looks blunt yet nothing on the bench looks much better. In short we have a crap squad that will huff and puff, under Ralph, but ultimately get beaten most weeks. So a few games into the season and none of our summer signings are starting. I'd like to think Djenepo would be, if he was fit, but still it's not a great advert for our summer business... Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

I'm trying to imagine the phone call to his daughter later..... "Hi Dad did you like Chris flying all that way to surprise you for your birthday?" " yeah about that sweetie…."

A man accidentally shot dead his son-in-law after mistaking him for an intruder when he flew thousands of miles to surprise him. Christopher Bergan, 37, flew 4,500 miles from Norway to Florida to surprise his wife's dad, Richard Dennis, for his 61st birthday. But when he jumped out of bushes in Mr Dennis's back garden, the older man mistook Mr Bergan for an intruder and shot him. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world/man-accidentally-shoots-dead-son-in-law-after-mistaking-him-for-intruder-when-he-flew-thousands-of-miles-to-surprise-him/ar-AAIgjok?ocid=spartandhp

Why doesn't it work? Harald Sigurdsson was king of Norway when he invaded England in 1066 and massacred a whole load of Englishmen at Gate Fulflood by your thinking why shouldn't the Norwegian government apologize for that? Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

I watched Tadic constantly get out run by CBs in his whole time at saints. I never understood why his team mates would attempt to slip balls through for him to run onto when he could never get to them before the opposition defender. I actually think Tadic would have had trouble out pacing big Vest. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Exactly the hours of mental torture and the anguish of solitary confinement is far more effective than a quick slap. Did you add sensory deprivation by taking away his iPad/ X-box/ mobile phone as well? Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

It's a bit different if people who where involved are still alive like in your Germany example. As opposed to an event that happened over 200 years ago. I find it very hard to believe anyone is really suffering mental anguish over a event that happened so long ago and no one could have known anyone involved today.

ha my wife has had the same experience recently when the mum of one of her class children was telling her she used to be her teacher to.

The Spartan way of parenting?

I love the fact that its popular among Nordic parent to leave their kids outdoors in -5 degrees centigrade (or colder) for a nap in the middle of winter. I imagine in this country if you left your kid in the back garden for a sleep in the middle of a snowy winters day someone would report you to social services for child cruelty.

My eldest has just become one of those uni students so if it makes you feel old imagine what it's like for me [emoji6] Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

These days it's normally the children hitting the adults at least if the fat lip, broken glasses and bruises my teacher wife has come home from work with are anything to go by. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Especially teachers. Going to parents evening makes me feel old. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

We aren't any different to every other club though. Pretty much every PL club has a bunch of failed signings people talk like saints are the only club to ever take a punt on a player who turns out to be less than stellar. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Actually I included Djenepo probably jumping the gun a bit but I really like the look of the guy Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk -
Cedric was injured straight from the horse's mouth Unfortunately couldn’t help my team due an injury during the warming up for the Tottenham game but I’m working on a speedy recovery. https://mobile.twitter.com/OficialCedric/status/1178786842541531143?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fd-32644698532708415075.ampproject.net%2F1909241711100%2Fframe.html Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

McCarthy Clyne Fonte VVD Shaw Morgan Victor Mane Tadic Djenepo Lambert I'm sticking Fonte in there because he was always the leadership at the back even if not as good as Toby you have to have a leader in the defense. Lambert because he is still our highest scorer, in our second stint in the PL, plus best peno taker we've ever had (along side MLT). And Djenepo is a bit of a wild card but I think we might have actually signed a gem he might not be at the top of his game yet but 2 cracking goals in 1.5 games is pretty good. Djenepo and Mane rotating with Tadic I reckon would be pretty epic. -

Still our top scorer in any given season, with 15 goals, since we got back to the PL. No one else has even got close to that (though arguably all of Pelle's 11 were from open play) Jrod might well have beaten that in our second season up if hadn't been for that ACL. -
I'd hazard a guess if the roles were reversed Ralph would be doing better with Leicester's squad and Rodgers would be struggling with our squad right now.
