  1. I'm pretty confident that won't happen.... Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  2. Is Boufal standing in for Gunn or JWP? Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  3. They didn't. I suspect some posters wanted the manager to be given time to build and someone probably pulled out the old "Ferguson was almost sacked in his first season" routine.. ... Either that or Shurlock's hashtag was a reference that he is having trouble keeping the misses happy in the bedroom... Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  4. Well we called always replace him with Jack Stephens..... Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  5. From the Guardian's 10 talking points hard to argue with really. 9) Southampton seem to have same old problems Is this season going to be any different for Southampton? A team who have flirted with relegation for the past two seasons occupy 17th after a draw at Wolves (they are above the bottom three on goal difference). Ralph Hasenhüttl insists the result was a step forward and the performance a platform they can build on but there is little evidence that Saints will avoid another fight for survival. Defensively they appear feeble, with Angus Gunn again unconvincing in goal and the 6ft 6in Jannik Vestergaard walked all over by Raúl Jiménez. “We can be critical with a few moments in the second half but we can also be positive about a lot of good habits,” said Hasenhüttl. Danny Ings scored in a fourth consecutive appearance for the first time in his career but Southampton must raise their game if they are to beat Leicester at St Mary’s on Friday. 6. So he should do quite well for us next season then [emoji6] He has done well in Norway, Switzerland and now finding his feet in Scottish football. PL was clearly a step to far but shopping around in the lower leagues for players with promise is how we do our transfer business so for every VVD or Mane there are bound to be plenty of "not good enough" players picked up along the way. 7. We did from the O/S. RICHARD KITZBICHLER BIOGRAPHY LAST UPDATED 29 AUG 2019 Former clubs: Red Bull Salzburg, Beijing Sinobo Guoan Richard Kitzbichler was appointed as a First Team Assistant Coach at Southampton in August 2019, joining manager Ralph Hasenhüttl's staff. The Austrian joins, who also has the role of Opposition Analyst, moved to Saints following two years with Chinese Super League side Beijing Sinobo Guoan and an extensive spell in his homeland with Red Bull Salzburg. A former Austria international, with 17 caps for his country, Kitzbichler began his playing career at Wacker Innsbruck, before spells with Tirol Innsbruck, SC Holz Pfeifer Kundl, Austria Salzburg and Austria Wien. After one season in Germany with Hamburger SV and a year in Australia with Melbourne Victory – either side of a return to Austria Wien – he finished his playing days at Salzburg. It was there that he transitioned into a role as an analyst, working closely with the club’s coaches and players. Following six years in the role, he was promoted into the position of assistant coach in 2015 under Óscar Garcia, combining his video analysis with on-pitch work. A move to China followed in 2017, where he linked up with former Salzburg manager Roger Schmidt, who had been in charge of the Austrian club from 2012 until 2014, working as assistant to him. The pair helped oversee some notable success at Beijing Sinobo Guoan, with the club finishing fourth in the Super League in 2018 and also winning the Chinese FA Cup that season, for the first time in 15 years Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  8. Struggling to get up for this one. A combination of having been witness to the Chelsea game, being on a Friday night, our general crappiness at home and having to watch Vardy and Brenda giving it large at SMS when they inevitably score against us really isn't giving me the motivation to struggle to the game after a long week at work. 9. Who, exactly, has described him as becoming a top player? Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  10. Sounds about right but I've tried to scrub that game from my mind and the details are already hazy [emoji6] In the end though, however he is doing it, Ings is our main goal scorer right now. Maybe it's just a purple patch of luck, maybe the confidence of a few lucky goals will set him off on a good run and his goals will get better or maybe he will break a toe nail and bit out for six months. Whatever right now he is getting goals and we need that. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  11. From the BBC Man of the match - Danny Ings (Southampton) Ings carved out six chances of his own in front of goal, and his strike to put Southampton ahead saw him score in three consecutive Premier League games for the first time since January 2015. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  12. A lot more Brexit supporters from where? The only source I can see is Labour supporters who want to leave with a deal whether they are happy to vote for a posh boy conservative remains to be seen. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  13. Problem for the Tories, in a GE, now is the brexit party. A few weeks ago when Boris was begging the HoC for an election he was seen as championing a No Deal which would have probably netted him a lot of votes from brexit party supporters. Farage was even talking about an election pact. Now Boris has a deal and is trying to push it he will split the leave voters. I can't see any party getting a workable majority in a GE. 14. Just saw him on the news doing his best sulky, little, posh boy act in the HoC after suffering another defeat. He really is a grade A tosspot. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  15.
  16. The point is the ****ups are caused by pressing the opposition into mistakes where he has the presence of mind to be in the right place at the right time to benefit from the mistakes. Its not like he hasn't scored other types of goals for us is it?
  17. Let's be fair you make your own luck you have to be in the right place at the right time to score from the oppstion **** ups. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  18. Yeah before the season starts I'd have looked at three of those teams and figured 2 points if we were lucky. I would have expected 3 against Bournemouth at home. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  19. A better performance today. Interesting that Blackmore, on Solent, interviewed Romeu last week where Romeu apparently said the team was trying to play to much pretty football and they wanted to get back more to the way they played last season. Seemed to be the case today they pushed up more, pressed more and tried to get the ball forward quicker. It ain't pretty but with the players we have it seems to be the way that works best. 20. VAR making an early season push for our player of the season. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  21. What's the lesson is Ralph is supposed to learn "I have a bunch of crap players with a bunch of replacements that aren't any better?" I pretty much struggle to come up with a First 11 from our squad that is much good. Romeu is the only one putting in half decent performances every week and when you look at the options to replace the under performers they are no better, or like Jack Stephens, worse. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  22. That's hardly a high bar what's his tally this season for an attacking player one assist? And Romeu has been our best player this season. When your DM stands out every game, from the sheer amount of fire fighting he has to do, it tells you all you need to know about the state of our team. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  23. He has tried literally every player we have and they've all been crap. I'm not really sure what we do different. He left vest out of a couple of games and still we lost. He brought Bertrand back in after some make shift LBs we still lost. About the only players who haven't had a fair crack of the whip this season is Armstrong, McCarthy and Stephens not sure any of them are game changers. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  24. Err it's different from the last couple of games when we played two at the back. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  25. Surely against Boris's surrender treaty? Nigel Farage pleads with Eurosceptics to reject Boris Johnson's 'reheated' deal https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/brexit-news-latest-boris-johnson-deal-vote-nigel-farage-extension-a9162586.html Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
