Adam Blackmore "and man city win ...I mean score" no Adam you where right the first time.. 20 minutes we are improving... Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Does it matter what our wage bill is? Just because we are paying a load of barely league standard players a lot of money doesn't make our team any good. I remember us trying to go toe toe, away to city, under Hughes and getting stuffed. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

We will be lucky if we have 10% possession by the end of this game. How ridiculous is City's squad 10 changes and their 11 is miles better than our best 11. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

I can't see us winning this. Even a second string City side will be full of players who would probably walk into our matchday squad. Given that what constitutes an improvement? Narrow 1-0 defeat, only conceding twice, scoring a goal, players just looking like they actually give a **** and working hard? At the moment I'm assuming the players will come out of the traps all fired up make Man City look ordinary for the first 3-4 minutes of the game. Then we wil concede from City's first attempt on goal after some crap mistake by our defence. Heads will then drop and city will take us apart. We will lose 4-0 and the O/s will run a story praising our improvement since the Leicester game.. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

How about Chris Coleman instead... The Daily Mirror reports (October 29, page 55) that Coleman, who was sacked by Sunderland in May 2018 and later managed Hebei China Fortune, heads a list of possible replacements should Ralph Hasenhuttl lose his job as boss. https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2019/10/29/report-jobless-british-boss-could-return-to-work-with-southampto/ Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Yeah my bad I got you mixed up with Adriansfc who has been banging on since the Puel era.. I still don't agree with your post though we weren't that good last season bar a few games we had plenty of bad team and individual performances under Ralph especially against the lesser teams in the league. The players haven't got massively worse they where never much good to begin with. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Possibly it it isn't the right set up in the backroom staff but this story was leaked from some Saints players now which just makes it look like smoke and mirrors to me. Just look at the timing of this leak. This story could have come out weeks ago, if the players thought it was an issue, yet funnily enough it appears straight after the most shameful performance from the players. Coincidence? . Ha it's like ground hog day you've been peddling the same line since Puel four different managers same ****ing rubbish from the same ****ing players. The players aren't worse than last season either they where turd for most of last season. Even if you ignore Hughes many of these players had plenty of bad games under Ralph last season. How quickly people forget terrible games under Ralph like Cardiff ( home and away), Newcastle away, Westham at home and Watford at home. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

I'm not missing the point at all. The total lack of Pride and fight shown by the players on Friday has nothing to do with coaching and everything to do with their mentality. A core group of players at saints have been found wanting for the last few seasons. This is just another attempt at smoke and mirrors to push criticism of these, constantly failing, players else where. Regardless of who the manager is, the coach is, the tactics professional footballers should show more heart, desire and fight than they did on Friday night. This Rhol issue is like a reverse version of Eric black where people where sure he was the problem and yet after he left there was no improvement. We weren't actually very good in lots of games last seen when Rhol was here and let's not pretend otherwise. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Interestingly, in the hindsight, considering Valery's performances since coming back into the team Ralph might have been on to something. Valery has been pretty awful since he came back into the matchday squad regularly. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Well what a surprise! The players acting true to form I see. Is it me or do we get this sort of crap every season now as soon as it starts going tits up? Every season it seems we have certain players who are happy to go to the press to tell them, how unhappy they are, about how **** we are. Of course it's never the players fault, it's never about the fact they just aren't very good, it's always a manager, or a coach or other players that are the problem . It's the sort of excuse that might hold more water if this squad didn't have a history of being crap for the best part of three seasons now it's about time the players stopped making excuse and take a long hard look at themselves. Let's be honest the bar to be "most talented player" in the current saints squad is not very high.. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

So no actual answer then... I left out the goal keeper because it's the most obvious player swap in the entire team and I imagine everyone would swap McCarthy for Gunn. Not because I'm suggesting Gunn should keep his place. After that though I'm really interested to see which players, not playing right now (and not injured), would improve the matchday 11, that Ralph is making a huge mistake on, because I don't really rate any of them any more than the ones playing. Clearly you think some of the unused players are better options so which ones? Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Go on then which ones is he getting wrong? With the exception of the goal keeping position and take into account injuries who should be in the matchday 11 Jack Stephens? Certainly not better than our other CBs most likely worse. Central midfielders we have one option Armstrong will he make much difference based on performances so far I doubt it. Would you replace Ings with Long or Adams given Ings has at least scored some goals? So that basically leaves Boufal who despite people respiration still has no end product. Our squad is horrible, just horrible, in most case when you look at choosing a matchday 11 it's liking asking yourself to pick between getting syphilis or gonorrhea.. That's point though these players don't seem to actually take any coaching on board. Whether they are just thick, or so up their own arses, they don't think they need to pay attention because they already know it all, is hard to say. Either way week after week we are undone by the players limitations in even the basics of football constant mistakes, brain farts and lack of focus see the players shoot themselves in the foot every game. The ladies team is doing well just won their last game 11-0 maybe we should play them? reckon they've got more balls than our senior men's team.. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

I imagine the Sunderland fans enjoyed last season more than we did play off finals and a cup final seems more fun than scraping survival in the PL. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Adapt to what style though? There are a core of players in this squad that couldn't adapt to Puel ball, or MoPe ball or Hughes ball and now they can't adapt to Ralph's game either. Four different manager four different ..err...styles and yet the players still can't find a style they can play successfully. They can't keep possession, they can't pass very well, pass and move is a mystery to them, pressing is beyond them, they can't shoot very well, most them can't tackle, they can't win a header and on top of all that hard work and professional pride don't even seem to be in their make up. I'm at loss as to what style and tactics would actually suit these players that have so few decent attributes. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Ah Claude the worst manager saints ever had... I miss those days when this place was awash with posters being unimpressed with an 8th place finish and a cup final. The Hylacon days when not going further in Europe was embarrassing.... Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

The only chance we have in this game is if our players turn up and play out of their skins putting in 10/10 performances all over the pitch to try and erase the embarrassment of Friday....and Man City's players get collective amnesia, and forget the way to the Etihad, and then we might just manage a draw (and lose on pens)

I see we've reached that time of year early this season. You know that point in the season where we get desperate and every player not regularly playing in the first 11 (because they are on loan, injured or not fancied by the manager) becomes our hope for salvation because they have to be better than the ones playing.... please God...they have to be better... The players haven't regressed under Ralph the majority where ****e before he arrived and... shock gasp horror they are still ****e. They've improved slightly when we brought in Hughes and then again when Ralph arrived but quickly reverted to type, after a few games, once the new manager bounce tailed off. What's going on now isn't just down to Ralph but the inevitable culmination of several years of decline in player quaility in our squad. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
