  2. So that's our last fullback injured so we now have no LBs or RBs available ... Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  3. And there you go it's been coming.. you can't hold on against city for 75 minutes. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  4. Man city fans booing really? **** me if I was a man city fan I can't ever imagine being that upset with how things are going. How did their fans every cope when the where ****? Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  5. Just can't see us holding on to this we need an out when we do get hold of the ball to take the pressure of the defence. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  6. Most likely but at least it's a better performance than our last league game. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  7. I have to say the most used term on the Solent commentary this season is "half cleared by saints"... Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  8. We will most likely still lose this game but you have to say the players are at least working hard and fighting which is a turn around from last weekend. I except our players aren't very good but the minimum I expect as a fan is for the players to show a good attitude and work hard and fight. They are at least doing that today. 9. Yeah we could score in the 93rd minute at 0-0 and even then I wouldn't be confident of a win [emoji38] Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  10. ****ing hell.....I'm in shock [emoji44] Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  11. Just listening to Ralph on Solent he doesn't think you can press city high because they will just bypass you and punish the space left in behind. The problem for us is we can't defend deep either like say Burnley can so we are ****ed either way Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  12. Why bother with England either? what's wrong with reverting to the kingdoms of Wessex, Merica, Anglia, Kent and Northumbria and give independence to Kernow? Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  13. This is taken from Ralph's wiki page I can imagine this what he was hoping would happen last summer... In January 2011, Hasenhüttl succeeded Rainer Scharinger as the coach of third division VfR Aalen,[10] then in 16th place, one point above the relegation zone. His first match was a 1–1 draw against VfB Stuttgart II.[11] Aalen's survival in the 3. Liga earned him a year's contract extension. In the 2011–12 season, he completely rebuilt the team, bringing in eight new players and releasing 14, with the aim of a mid-table finish.[citation needed Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  14. This We have 5 CBs that range from bad to bloody awful. We have 4 CMs that range from ok ( Romeu) and three others who are ****e We have one LB who well talented but has constantly phoned it in for three seasons We have two RBs neither of who are particularly good Upfront Ings and Redmond are ok and backed up by a bunch of players who have constantly failed to produce much in the way of goals or assists. This squad lacks any sort of quaility all over the park the managers hand are tied. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  15. I've had a season ticket for years I've seen plenty of JWP and I don't rate him at all but stats are interesting to me because frequently the stats seem to suggest the fans (including me) can't look past their bias. Lots of people seem to love Hoj but offensively and defensively he is our worst midfielder, according to the stats, this season (and to be fair I wouldn't disagree Hoj's best performance was as a LB against Fulham other than that he has been crap) so we should probably be dropping Hoj. The Only midfielder I rate is Romeu but even I can see his lack of pace causes us problems he needs more dynamic midfielders around him sadly we don't have any in the squad. In short we have one decent but slow DM and three central midfielders that aren't really up to it IMO but the manager can't drop them because he doesn't have any other options unless he plays someone out of position or gives up on midfielders altogether.
  16. Thing is thanks to state of our squad we only have four Central midfielders and the one not playing is Armstrong. Who certainaly has more pace but, at his worst, has been a defensive liability and, at his best, been anonymous when he has had chances in the past. Loaning out Reed and losing Lemina looks like another mistake right now. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  17. Seems Nigel doesn't agree with you... https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/brexit-party-general-election-farage-speech-boris-johnson-conservatives-a9180656.html Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  18. Doubt it will matter. People are going to vote for a Tory party led by Boris a man who can barely open his mouth without lying and has just presented the country with a Brexit deal worse than the one he voted down. People are going to vote for a Labour party lead by Corbyn a socialist stuck in the 70s who hates Jewish people. So unless Swinson turns out to be a kiddie fiddler or murderer lots of remainers are going to vote for the Lib Dems because no other party is offering them what they want.
  19. For once you might be right about JWP according to Whoscored ratings he is our third best player this season so far (though him and Redmond whose fourth are rated pretty much the same so he isn't clearly doing more than Redmond). Interestingly, according to the ratings, of our three regular central midfielders our worst performer is actually Hojberg.. https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/18/Show/England-Southampton
  20. Not a great loss I'm sad to say.
  21. It's not really as simple as that though is it? if we used to beat them in 1980 something it has no bearing on the present at all. If you look at the last few years, since we came back to the PL and since Man City got half the wealth of the Arabian peninsula chucked at them, then we've beaten them twice. I doubt any one the last few years has expected us to beat man city "at least once a season" like you claimed.
  22. According to your own link we have beaten then twice since we came back up to the PL. Both those games where at SMS so I'm not sure how that becomes interpreted at expecting to beat them at least once a season? The only difference is we used to expect to lose in a closer game now we expect to lose by a cricket score...
  23. So Trump decided to get in on the UK election by phoning into Farage's radio show apparently he isn't a fan of Corbyn and loves Boris... ..almost makes me want to vote for Corbyn now Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  24. or not (actually this is quite a good analysis of our weakness that day and how our attempts at the press where easily bypassed by man cities quality on the ball) https://www.coachesvoice.com/tactical-analysis-manchester-city-6-southampton-1/
