  1. Seems the British public might not agree A majority of the UK public and almost half of Conservative voters support a radical plan to transform the economy and tackle the climate crisis, a poll suggests. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2019/nov/07/majority-of-uk-public-back-2030-zero-carbon-target-poll Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  2. The one child policy ( even though it wasn't really a one child policy as there where valid reasons you could have a second) was scrapped some years back and interestingly even though Chinese parents could now have more kids evidence suggests most of them didn't want to. So they do have control well as much as normally people have control of anything in China. https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/asia_pacific/beijings-one-child-policy-is-gone-but-many-chinese-are-still-reluctant-to-have-more/2019/05/02/c722e568-604f-11e9-bf24-db4b9fb62aa2_story.html Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

  4. Just one example would be the Catholic church and it's stance on contraception which results in more pregnancies, especially in Latin America, and a lack of control for women on their own reproduction decisions (even if it is through their adherence to a ancient out of date religion) which could easily be solved if the pope just changed the rules and told them using a rubber was ok. 6. So you're voting for Boris's deal even though you said it was a surrender deal a couple of weeks ago? Looks like CB fry was right about the leavers being happy with the pig if it got a new coat of lipstick.. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  7. It's only 11000 scientists from a 153 different countries what would they know? bunch of middle-class, lefty, vegan, crusties trying to stop me having a holiday.. 9. I'm assuming Wes won't be voting for Boris and his "surrender" deal anyway he will surely be team Farage all the way for the "Clean break Brexit" that he craves.
  10. Don't worry Chinese state TV airbrushed the result it wouldn't do to have a Chinese owned club lose. In China it's between us and wolves in a neck and neck race to win the league. Due to some expert Chinese state editing Chinese viewers saw Mick Channon score a hatrick against Leicester the other friday [emoji16] Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  11. Would protests actually bother our owner he doesn't even turn up to games does he? I can imagine that angry protests at SMS would probably be lost on him, sat 5000 miles away, while giving the score a cursory look on the internet at full time. The only way we are getting rid of this chump is if we get relegated a couple of times and go bust again. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  12. Can't believe people are advocating over turning a "once in a lifetime" ( SNPs own words) referendum that only happened 5 years ago. Surely the Scots aren't allowed to change their minds are they? How undemocratic would that be to the people who voted remain in 2014... Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  13. Two separate issues. I'm merely pointing out that Britain weren't the first to colonise the Falkland islands hence Argentina's claims. I'm not suggesting anything else with regards to sovereignty.
  14. yes but it was about 90% directed towards defending which is the point JWP, Hoj and Romeu just don't have the pace to get back when they push up the pitch and when we lose the ball the defence ends up exposed and we get punished.
  15. umm no if that was the case Argentina wouldn't be kicking up a fuss. The first colonists where French who sold to it to Spain it was then a Spanish colony first administrated from Spanish South America later to become Argentina and Uruguay hence their claim to the islands.

  18. That's the issue for me we can't play like we did yesterday every week. Its was that right call yesterday given the state of our squad. In some ways this game was easier for our players they just had to concentrate on keeping their shape and defending in numbers. I'm not knocking their effort or commitment they fought hard and all credit to the players for that. Problem is once we have to start attacking teams and pushing up the pitch the lack of engine and pace in our midfield will leave our defence exposed and teams will cut us apart on the counter.
  19. We sat deep, in numbers, hardly moved into their half and put bodies on the line which is fine when you are a poor side playing against someone like City. Problem is we can't play like that every week we have to more attacking if we are going to score goals and win games. Which is the problem as soon as we open up to attack lesser teams our defence will be exposed again.
  20. Clearly but it goes to show he isn't afraid to dismantle a squad and start again (which is basically what we need). Also you can't shake the feeling he was promised a lot more in last summers transfer window than the club delivered. I suspect he doesn't actually want quite a few of our players which would certainly explain some of his team selections and sub choices.
  21. Could well be certainaly it has been that way for the last few seasons. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  22. I'm pinning all my hopes for the season on him. If we can the cart horses in the rest of the squad to at least show pride, commitment and hard work like today I'm hoping he will have enough x- factor to get us results. It's not much of a plan mind. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  23. Hard to read something into that result really. On the one hand we fought and scrapped and almost got something. There was definitely more pride and hard work on display than last friday Ultimately though against a team like city the way we played is the way any lower league side would play a cup game ( sit deep make them work to break you down hope nick one on the break). It's not a style we can play every week or at home if we hope to pick up points or escape relegation. We need to combine that work ethic and commitment with some footballing skill and I'm not sure the squad has that in them. Hopefully this performance gives them a bit of confidence going forward but I could easily see a complete cluster **** against Everton. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
