  1. Good to have options though. Jack has attributes that suggest he could do a job in there as well as Lemina. Last season it felt as though an injury to Oriol would be catastrophic.
  2. Can't really see under what circumstances he'd leave. Who would want to sign him? - he's barely played in three years. He'd have to agree personal terms too - and I can't see anyone meeting the wage we're likely to be paying him. A championship club might take a punt and take him on loan, but I wouldn't hold your breath.
  3. And I'm sure they wouldn't. It's completely against the business model.
  4. I couldn't agree more. What are you quoting me for?
  5. Do you? I expect it's because he's 30 years old
  6. Wow, I wish I had the time to give a sh1t about things like this!
  7. Absolutely agree with this
  8. Yes it is. It's equally as good. Both Italy and England U21's were losing semi finalists of the UEFA U21 championships held earlier in the summer.
  9. Interesting that the smallest team in the league is many people's favourites for the title
  10. Are you absolutely certain about that?
  11. Yep, agree with all of this. Making a stand = p 1ssing against the wind
  12. Love it! (although I'm going to call it a "Warhurst" because it sounds slightly more dramatic )
  13. Great post. I'd argue it is far more ambitious to try and build a top-half premier league club from the bottom up than it is to just spend big money on short-term, high-risk solutions with a limited life-span.
  14. But if LFC end up having to pay a world record fee for a defender in order to break that long term contract - doesn't that make it worth it? More helpful than VvD going "full Berahino", no?
  15. Please put him on ignore and please everyone - stop quoting him!!!!
  16. The missing racehorse?
  17. If only there was a takeover rumours thread... https://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?57377-Rumours-of-takeover-investment-interest/page38#.WXHOCEb2R8E
  18. Amen (and I'm a 'keeper... )
  19. Right, but a one in a hundred shot isn't the same as a "fluke". The correct use of "fluke" means accidental good fortune - i.e. pure luck, little skill. The ball rebounding off the post and going in off someone's backside is a fluke. A 40 screamer is not (unless as Eelpie says - he intended to miss).
  20. A maturing, more experienced Sam Gallacher has taken JayRod's place in the sqaud (for now at least). At this stage who knows whether he will be stronger/weaker/equal to the version of JayRoad we saw last season - who, whatever way you cut it, was a shadow of his former self.
  21. In what way was it a fluke?
  22. Are they still in the top 10% in the FIFA rankings?
  23. Are they? The senior squad haven't lost a qualifier in 8 years. They are ranked 13th by FIFA - and even if the basis for those rankings is a bit dubious, the reality is that they're going to fall in the top 10% of the 211 ranked international sides. I reckon that's above average.
  24. Given he is so average - how do you explain JWP getting called up to the senior England squad - and captaining the U21s?
