  1. You've not been there have you? Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  2. Whilst most of your post makes sense, you can't have spent much time in the countryside south of Manchester. The areas around Alderley Edge, Wilmslow, Poynton etc are a very long way from being crappy!
  3. I think we can safely say this will be the only high point of this thread
  4. Really can't understand this. Did you miss the bit where Les Reed presided over arguably the most consistently successful period in the club's history?
  5. You mentioned him so I had to watch "THAT" goal... Woof. Possibly my favourite 'non-LeTiss' Saints goal... ( possibly )
  6. Nicholl was Saints manager when I got into football supporting, so the first appointment I rememeber was Branfoot. I was too young and naive to be as underwhelmed by that as I possibly should have been!
  7. Without wishing to sound pedantic, that reads as thought there is no chance of him staying at Athletic. Presumably you mean "No chance. He's staying at Athletic"?!
  8. Maybe a bit too much of a "luxury" player for a relegation fight? Would be interested to see how he's get on in a team that gives him creative freedom. He seems to have pace and tricks.
  9. And the award for today's most pendantic reply goes to...
  10. Bravo sir - big respect. Another vote for MacMillan http://www.macmillan.org.uk
  11. Happily. He has a pretty decent track record. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  12. Remember Venky's at Blackburn? Vincent Tan at Cardiff? Tony Fernandes at QPR? They all had loads of ambition... Why not wait a while before you get too excited?
  13. As I said on the other thread a little earlier, if I were an Everton fan I'd be reserving my implied superiority until I have evidence of tangible and quantifiable improvement. Forster and VvD have just signed new long term deals, so if you do "take" them you won't be seeing much change out of the reported investment. Meanwhile Saints will do what we always do. Stick to the succession plan, recruit smartly and enjoy taking anyone who comes knocking to the cleaners.
  14. Amen! Wish you posted more often mate
  15. Maybe you are shopping in a different market, and if you continue to pay massively over-inflated fees and wages than maybe 'world beaters' will come without European football as our manager seems to have done. Maybe your new owner might need to find more than 100 million quid, maybe he won't. One thing for certain is that nobody really knows because at the moment it's just a lot of hot air. If I were an Everton fan I'd be reserving my proclaimations of greatness and superiority until I'd actually seen tangible and quantifiable improvement, but each to their own. Whatever happens, good luck with it - I think you'll find most Saints fans genuinely got over Koeman leaving and turned the page several days ago.
  16. Reads as though it was written by a nine year old
  17. Spent my 21st birthday in Kaos #class
  18. I've had 4 different Arsenal supporting mates text me saying Long was brilliant. FOUR. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  19. You think gleefully posting each time Saints do badly is supportive?
  20. I think Bournemouth deserve more respect than that
  21. Wont break into the top 6. Probably won't finish any lower than 11th/12th. Thats pretty much in line with my expectations and i'm constantly surprised that anyone else's expectations were any higher...
