what crap record ? in our last three league meetings we`ve won 2,lost one. I think people would like Leeds for the atmosphere at Wembley (those who are going,that is) there is a difference between an attendance of 80.000 and 40.000,you know.

the worst thing for me,is that even though we are supposed to have been bolstering the first 11 in january..we now seem poorer than before ! I dont think either Seaborne,Otsemobor or Barnard are any better than what we had,quite the opposite. It seems like Pardew has given himself a headache with all the options he`s now got- he cant find the right combination anymore. thats a big worry ! stil,if we manage to win the JPT,Progress another round in the FA,and finish mid-table..that would be enough for me to want Pardew to continue next season..and that is the least I expect Mr Cortese will want,too.

I dont think so. there is still plenty of time to find another sponsor,so if that was the reason,Mr Cortese wouldnt have made this decission until april/may.

that looks very solid. we should definately try out the Lambo/Waigo pairing more often. Rickie needs someone with pace alongside him !

those kind of players do not ply their trade in league 1 for a reason though ! It`s very,VERY hard to get hold of that kind of player down here,thats for sure.

that seems the most sensible team we can put out at the moment. we need to stay positive and go for the win in every game from now on ! so be it if we encounter a couple of heavy defeats because of it,4 wins and 2 losses gives a better return than 2 wins and 4 draws..

Indeed. I really hope Holmes will have a good game,think he has something about him that we lack at times...real width,acurate crossing,and sensible positional play ! COYR

whether Lamberts penalty is registered as a goal in the various lists,or not, is really imaterial. the issue here is much more simple,and the same as defines the result in a regular football match: the team who scores the most,by the rules set for that competition, wins the game. We DID Score 5 penalties,Norwich did only score 4. or would you disagree on this fact..? another fact that disproves your point,is the very obvious rule saying that THERE CAN`T POSSIBLY BE A DRAW in the JPT.one team has to win. how could you say that a match ends as a draw,when according to the rules of that competition there isnt that option available? It`s just the same as saying its a draw if a tennis match finish 6-6 in all sets. the Penalty shootout is very comparable to the tie-breaks. according to the rules no match will end as a draw. this match didnt "finish as a draw" as you stated either. the match lasted until the shootout was finished,only THEN was the match over.

who in the championship can afford him ? only QPR,and even they will be reluctant to fork out 3 million for him. cause he wont be leaving for anything less than that,even if he could play for three clubs in a season !

Totally agree. we are free-scoring ATM,have the best striker,best goalkeeper and the best attacking midfielder in the whole league..! and yet people are complaining. and these same people try to defend their ill-thought opinions by saying: "Am I not allowed to crave we should win 5-0 with 30 shots on goal every game,bla-bla-bla"". the answer is: NO ! you are not allowed to selectively forget the state we were in 6 months ago,and suddenly turn into overdemanding vultures with dellusions of grandeur. have a word with yourselves,FFS.

yes,he was a very hot prospect on FM that isnt so daft as it sounds. many people first become aware of players via that game,and check them out afterwards. I`ve also seen him on the show "Eurogoals" on Eurosport a couple of times !

ofcourse they have heard of Hammond and Papa. they have seen Leeds play Colchester many times the last seasons ! Hammond has been recognized as a very good midfielder at this level by most fans. Papa Waigo has fairly big name due to the fact that he has played in serie A,I`m quite sure a person generally interested in football have heard of him.

When I look at both teams prefered starting 11,I cant see any reason why we shouldnt win. player for player we have a better team,IMO.

KD could be a decent back up for Lambert,and thats about it. IMO,KD will only performe in a team that hoofs & play the long-ball,ugly approach to the game.

he truly is the best player in this division,by miles ! He is so complete and skilled in every aspect of the game. if he had 5 yards more of pace he would have been one of the top ten best players in the UK.

I really dont get this fuss about Lambert not being up to his usual self. He scored yesterday,he set up 2 goals,scored 1 at Hartlepool,he set up one magnificent goal at Northampton,and he set up one goal at norwich ! and these are the last matches were you lot are saying he has underperfomed ?! with those kind of contributions,I couldnt care less if he spent the rest of the games wiping his arse on the corner flag,FFS. maybe,just maybe,he has got that little bit of intuition-he knows when he can create a goal or score,and focuses most of his energy & concentration into those moments ? I dont think we can demand anything more than what he has contributed with over the last matches. and,without further comparison,there wasnt so long ago we had another number 7 who preserved his energy for most of the match,only to let it burst out in THOSE decisive moments

Mate,hadnt it been for Lambert we would still be bottom by a mile. He has been involved,through goals and assists,in over two thirds of our goals FFS!! the only other player I can think of who has been so influential at any club in modern times,was Ronaldo at Man U. and even he didnt have the goal/assist tally of Lamberts standard. the man is immense,and far,FAR too good for league 1.

FFS..there should be a mandatory retirement for threads older than 5 months,if you ask me :S
