24 hours later and I am still livid. The lack of empathy from the club is the thing I find most distressing, Perez spouted some rubbish after the final whistle and that's it. Still want answers as to why we so readily ****ed up a chance of success. Fans want cup wins, days out at Wembley etc.

I dare say if today had been a league game against Sunderland, then Fonte, Rodriguez etc would have been fit enough to start. Don't believe this nonsense that they were not 100%. Sibley trying to deflect criticism which is rightly due in this case.

And for the record I agree that Lambert's best days are behind him. A striker should have been top priority in January.

It is not really OTT though is it? People are understandably and quite rightly so annoyed that with a good chance of success in a competition we have not won for nearly 40 years, we have gone out with a whimper, with a poor excuse of a team and our season is now to all intents and purposes over in the middle of February. They have a right to be miffed. I know I am.

Just one win in our last 7 premier league home games. Not good enough. Showed how much we relied on Lallana, he had an off day and we created virtually zilch. I know we scored 2 but that was a free kick and a fluke. Rodriguez was awful, Lambert not much better after the goal. Best player for me today was Davis. Why we didn't buy a striker to replace Osvaldo I cannot fathom, we were crying out for some fresh impetus 2nd half, yet our only sub to come on was Chambers. A very poor bench.

Created nothing 2nd half. Been very poor. Our lack of options off the bench is a worry as well.
