Why call this a massive game? Brentford at home was where any hope of staying up had to start and losing that plus losing at West Ham, losing at home to Palace , losing at home to Bournemouth, etc means the club has been relegated for several weeks. Anyone who thinks a win at Forest will save us is deluded.......

I feel we need points on the board by 04/03 with fixtures between now and then against Everton, Villa, Wolves, Leeds and Leicester. I fear that SR will keep faith with the manager until it is far too late. He needs to go immediately and someone appointed who can attract players in the transfer window and get some level of improvement from the existing squad. Just someone with a degree of competence, please, before it's too late........

What do people expect? We're doing fine in the Premier League, semi-finals of the cup, how anyone thinks Puel is doing badly is beyond me. We are not Barcelona, some people writing here are totally unrealistic in what they expect a club like Saints to achieve. We will always be a stepping stone to bigger and better things and I would much prefer us to achieve what we have done over the last three years and maintain that level than risk all by overspending, breaking wage structures and changing managers that really don't need to be changed. Stability is the key........

Two Premier League games in and already the pants-wetting pussies are coming out of the woodwork. Why complain about players and tactics already after the most successful season since the early eighties? Some people need to look up the word 'perspective' in the dictionary.

Everything about the Liebherr/Cortese takeover has been excellent EXCEPT the strange notion that the club didn't exist before 2009. The red shirts are symptomatic of that and it wouldn't surprise me if we never see a red and white striped shirt again. If only Nicola Cortese would accept the history of the club, the achievements of former teams and players (i.e. MLT) and our traditional red, white and black colours. There is no need to try to re-brand Southampton FC and it would not weaken Nicola Cortese's standing with the club and the supporters, it would strengthen it.

Today the Echo said of Liebherr: "The company already have links with Southampton as only last month they provided two new cranes for the city’s container terminal in the docks" Is this the most tenuous link ever to the city and the football club? It's like saying Microsoft have links to Southampton because thousands of people use their systems on their computers. Supplying a couple of cranes hardly means they're suddenly Saints fans. Still, I for one would welcome the Swiss with open arms compared to the other jokers waiting in the wings...
