Have you any shred of evidence for this? It amounts to libel unless you can support it!
-
I think that all we are asking for is the right to APPEAL against it. Are we being granted less rights than a criminal?
-
That was a good post and it drew some very level headed replies

Curbishley built up Charlton from next to nothing. They sacked him and where are they now? He would probably be nearly ideal for us but I don't think it will be him. Agree about Ince though
-
Are you suggesting that we should drop our draws? ;-)
-
Why? He had actually achieved no more success that Tisdale when Blackburn came in for him and when confronted with a serious job to do he could not do it. He would be off the bottom of my list - I would prefer almost any of the others mentioned.

With respect OB I don't think that someone disagreeing with you is a case for sectioning. The fact is that KK has had success in the lower league but he was, in relative terms, well resourced to do it. Likewise his success at Newcastle came with the expenditure of a fair amount of money. (Like Redknapp but straighter). Unless Pinnacle are going to finance a spending spree I do not feel KK is the right manager for us.

H'mmm - I thought that one of Pinnacle's planks was that the club would be a going concern in its own right. If that is the case then we will be working on a League One budget. I don't think that money is going to be hurled at the club. I suspect that any money outside of the budget will be invested strategically and Rasiak would not necessarily be a strategic investment unless we were going to build a team round him.

Good manager's succeed with what they have got. Big Sam kept them up. Ince looked bereft of ideas when things went badly - exactly the criticism aimed at JP
-
Amen to that!! :-)
-
My money is on everyone saying "Who's he?" when all is revealed.
-
Up Side - he would probably jail the manager and players of all our opposition. Down Side - season tickets would cost million zillion pounds
-
He would only be interested in the Academy!

However, if they are wealthy they can afford to indulge their whims one of which may be to take umbrage if their anonymity is not honoured.

Pay your fiver you tight G1t ;-)

I have no real issue with Leon Crouch being on the board but I think I would prefer the "clean slate" approach. I would have thought, though, that the least the new board could do would be offer to recompense him for what he put in to keep things alive while buyers were being sought. It would then be up to Leon whether he accepted or not.

They may increase to begin with. What happens after that will depend on results - just as it did this year. The number who boycotted just because of Lowe are a lot less than they fondly imagine. The only ones I know of post on here.

£1m for DMG - Why do people think it's such a bad deal?
St_Tel49 replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
I'm with you Chez. SOme people on here have a consistent record of undervaluing our own players while other clubs are very happy to come and take them off our hands. Amongst the players designated "crap" on this and previous boards have been Matt Oakley, Kevin Davis, Fuller, Delap, Kenwynne Jones all of whom (except Oakley who is getting on a bit) are still playing in the premiership. So to be honest, I wouldn't pay too much attention to anyone on here's judgement of McGoldrick. -
This thread is reinforcing to me that Pinnacle's stated approach that club should, by and large, stand on its own two feet is the right thing to do.
-
Quite frankly you over-rate Ince but never mind - that does not make you a retard!
-
No thanks - his limitations have been well exposed. I'd rather have a manager such as Tisdale with no record of failure.
-
You'd turn down Gus Hiddinck!!!!
-
I am glad none of you will ever conduct negotiations on behalf of this club. Now where are you going to get a player as good as he is for less that £1m?
