I don't really understand all the ****ing and moaning at losing to a team that is full of highly talented players who are finally finding form. They had a lot of physical strength - not always legally used - which we were unable to match. Combine that with the fact that they were really up for it yesterday. We deserved to be on the same pitch as them but in the end their extra quality won. We lost - move on. BTW -- I thought that young Stevens had an exceptional game yesterday and was not afraid to give the Stars some lip.

You have clearly missed the point but that is par for the course. It is all about context. Someone posts comments about Long's contribution to helping an injured team mate and it gets followed up by comments on his goal scoring record (I have no idea how to do the multi quote business but if you cannot recognise the negative quotes then you are as blind as the proverbial) It has nothing to do with the objecting to the criticism of a player more the context in which it was made.

FWIW I don't believe that the club are trying to replace Davis but if they were then it is surely a sign of Davis' quality that they cannot find anyone better in the black box. I'll concede that DM is not Davis' strongest position but surely it is something of an indictment of the alternatives that they cannot oust him from there.

Your reply does not wash. A sitter's right to sit does not in any way infringe your ability to see the action (which is what we are all there for). Your right to stand does impinge on other's right to see and is basically selfish. A guy close to me was trying to encourage other people to stand. He did not really succeed but had the good grace to accept it. The problem as others have said that none of us had any control of where we sat which means that the two were mixed together.
