Your prerogative of course but I think they have. I often don't make midweek games because I simply cannot get there on time or I have other things on. I am sure that applies to many others. But Saturdays I will always go. I don't think that the crowd will be significantly lower than our normal league games. We're WINNING for heavens sake. That usually brings crowds.
-
Then I shall wait until the Kingsland opens. It is a Saturday match - there is absolutely no reason to suppose a low turnout. The club have made a wrong call here.

I propose Whitey as new Head of the UEA Climate Unit ;-)
-
Cheers - I was not aware of that!
-
Perhaps we should wait until we have actually risen ;-)

When you click on quote look at the text and put a B inside square brackets [] at the start of what you want to embolden and then put a /B inside square brackets at the end of what you want to embolden. Click the quote button on a post with emboldened text and look at it. You will see what I mean.

Pots and kettles spring to mind.

You are probably right. But I suspect our current owners would do likewise but were in no position to do so at the relevant time.
-
H'mmm - disagreement among fans. I think I'll go with what Pardew thinks. That's what he's paid for. He'll lose his job soon enough if he's wrong.

Quite frankly football needs a disaster to sort out the whole stinking mess. Clubs are grossly overspending to keep themselves where they think the money is - except it isn't because they are spending too much to be there. There is a desperate need to sort out football's finances but it won't happen until several premiership clubs go bust.
-
No - its our fault. We got relegated. The -10 points came afterwards.
-
Not in my experience. Try going out of Paris.
-
Agreed. We have one of the league's top scorers, works hard in all the games that I have seen, and its still not good enough to please some of our fans.
-
What makes MK Dons, Millwall and Colchester big teams? - it certainly is not the size of their support!!!
-
Based on what? Pardew clearly does not agree with you and, with respect, I think that I would back his judgement over yours.

Someone who doesn't slit their wrists after every match.

The two are not mutually exclusive you know! In fairness, there was nothing whatever wrong with the English expression of the criticised post but lack of upper case made it a bit more difficult to read.
-
The play offs are only on if we win virtually all remaining games. We have to win 5 MORE games than the team in current 6th place to get there - not likely in my opinion. -10 and a slow start have undermined our chances. I am not saying it cannot be done - only that it is a huge ask.
-
You have got to be kidding!!! Davies dived low to his right and got a hand on a pretty well taken penalty. Unfortunately, he pushed it onto the post and it rebounded favourably to the taker. There isn't a keeper in all the leagues who would have held it. He possibly should have done better for the second but, as always, supporters in the dry in the stand have no idea how greasy or otherwise the ball is.

This weekend has convinced me that we have a load of supporters who are just champing at the bit to have a go at whichever player they have a thing about. The good run has kept them quiet for a while but you can see that they have been just waiting for their opportunity. If we draw at Hartlepool it will be "Pardew Out!". You couldn't make it up.
-
That's generous!
-
Are you incapable of expressing an opinion without using abusive language? Actually I think that you are just incapable.
-
I do not have the luxury of revisiting the video and inspecting it in detail which is why I used the words "it is my recollection" but it sounds to me like the description of a classic counter strike when we were positioned for an attack and lost the ball. You did not mention where our other midfielders were.
-
No you weren't. You were still in a time when people went to watch football and the rivalry between teams displayed itself in genuinely humorous banter rather than the witless chants of today. Sadly those days are long gone and we are all the poorer for it though I do recognise that those who have never experienced it will have no comprehension of that fact. Why the hell should you hate anyone just because they support a different team from you?
