I am no expert on Website economics so, apart from advertising, what are these other revenue streams? I also think that you and Esruu had better start bracing yourselves because within a couple of years you are going to have to pay to access newspaper websites. The economics of the free website just isn't working for them. The Times is already heading that way and where one goes the others will soon follow. 606 isn't free by the way - you are paying for it in your licence fee.

If it is not too difficult to set up perhaps the site owners could have an option where you don't pay but have to put up with adverts instead. The fee payers carry on as they are. I should think the fivers would start rolling in after a couple of weeks. I honestly cannot see what people's problem is paying less than 10p a week for what in my opinion is the best Saints Site around. I've never understood why people think someone else should provide them with a service for nothing just because its on the internet.

Here I would beg to differ. Both were capable of scaring opposition defenders witless with their pace and both were perfectly capable of scoring goals - often at crucial stages of a match - and that IS what we have been missing.

With respect, I think that those comments should be treated with a great deal of caution. Brief acquaintances can be very misleading and "snippets" are precisely that - and probably out of context - we can't tell. I would be hesitant to make a judgment on anyone on such tenuous evidence.

Your reply is making assumptions about my stance on Cortese but leave that. I fully accept what you are saying about what you meant, but it SOUNDED like you half believed that he was a nutcase. My point is that far too often people take some post such as Up and Away's (which I suspect is only his personal view of Cortese) and attribute a veracity to it that was probably not intended by the OP and then go on a rant on how Cortese is running the club. By all means let us comment on his actions - agree or disagree with them - but at least have those comments based on known fact rather than rumour.

This forum makes me smile. Having spent 10 days drooling over a list of possible managers who would never come to a League One side they then throw their toys out of the pram when ... they ... don't....come. Frankly, any appointment was going to be a disappointment after some of the names that have been bandied about. If Adkins is as good as Cortese clearly thinks he is then he will soon have the players onside. Is he better than Pardew? - who knows? - the question is now pointless but his record so far suggests he might well be. As to premiership experience? lets worry about that when we get there but David Moyes hasn't done so badly - nor Mcleish. Damn - perhaps we should appoint a Scot.

We can argue and discuss the merits/ demerits of experienced / up and coming managers and whether we should appoint MON, Adkins, Howe or Brown. The fact is that ANY manager is a gamble of one sort or another for different reasons. Some people who were successful one place are unsuccessful on promotion - others succeed. Whoever is appointed, we need to get behind them big time to get ourselves out of the hole we are in. We need the new manager, the team and the fans all pulling together. If we don't then it doesn't matter a damn who we appoint.

And that is your evidence? This fatuous phrase is used to justify passing any rumour - even ones made up just to see how far it goes.
