  1. That's a pretty sweeping assumption. There are other sites but they are nowhere near as good.
  2. Guly is most certainly not lazy - a bit casual perhaps - but he runs his ass off.
  3. Why would you have to leave out Schneiderlin as opposed to Chaplow or Hammond?
  4. That's what's done it
  5. Yep - there are going to be races on every day.
  6. I think that in this case the onus would be on you to prove that it WASN'T you using the phone or computer.
  7. I fall somewhere in the middle on this one. I think it reasonably fair to say that had we scored a second goal in the first half we would probably have gone on to win by a hatful. Instead we seemed to sit back on it a bit and let them have possession which encouraged them and their confidence grew. With their growing confidence we seemed to get rattled and misplaced a lot of passes - and this leads me to share Gemmel's concern about the mental strength of the team. That may be harsh though. I do think that bringing MS on brought more cohesion to our play. He played it simple when he had to and sprayed it when it was worth doing. For all their virtues I think that it should be Hammond or Chaplow to play alongside him but not them as pairing.
  8. Don't blame him one iota - our attitude as fans to him was disgraceful.

If money was the only important thing Man City and Chelsea would be out of sight at the top of the Premiership.
  10. Shouldn't that be ------------DAVO------------------ BUTTO-----FONTO-----JAIDO------HARDO CHAMBO----HAMMO----CHAPLOW---LALLO ------------LAMBO----DO PRADO---------------
  11. It is quite a nice conundrum to have. They each bring different qualities to the job. For me Schneiderland is by the far the best at holding the ball under pressure and getting the ball away. His distribution is best of the three as well. Weakness? - his shooting is woeful. He really should be scoring 10 a season. Chaplow is good at getting into the box and scores goals but I think is defensively suspect because his tackling is reckless at times. Dean Hammond kind of combines the characteristics of the other except for not being quite as good at each of the things the other two are good at (Still a fine player though). MS is probably the one to hit greater heights eventually.
  12. Wasn't given a lot of support by his teammates there - was he?
  13. For me Oakley was one of our most underrated players. I could not believe that some fans moaned about him. They did not seem to see his importance to the team. Fortunately a whole string of managers did. He had the capacity to look as though he had all the time in the world to pick a pass even when he was under heavy pressure (to me a sign of a seriously good player) and he always seemed to be available to help out team mates. He was accused by some fans of "not tackling" but his Opta stats showed that he came away from 50:50s with the ball 75% of the time. He usually stole the ball with timing rather than sliding in. Which way of getting the ball gives you most control of what to do next? No - Matthew Oakley was not given sufficient respect by Saints fans until he left.
  14. From where I sat he looked like he was right in the Lino's face screaming at him. In fact I was of the opinion that the yellow was for abuse of the linesman more than for the foul - but only my opinion mind. Does anyone know what the referee's report said?
  15. Now added to my favourites!
  16. Makes other teams think that we have twice as many players on the pitch
  17. On his first game?
  18. Sounds reasonable - but perhaps "Itchen Scratched" rather than "Itchen Dead"
  19. No he's not - antis simply have a far higher post count and the rest of us cannot be bothered cycling round the same old statements. PS Look at the polls if you think I am wrong.
  20. No - it just implies that s/he has a sizeable bathroom
  21. I see, so the problem with Davis is that he isn't Shilton. Got it now!
  22. Clearly yesterday was a quiet day for a lot of people
  23. I suspect that if this thread were to go on for another 9 pages nothing new will get said.
  24. With money from Markus that was earmarked before he died. He/the family are paying for all capital projects.
  25. Are they then as guilty of blindness as those who stand up for NC? This whole thing is quite distressing for long standing Saints fans who hold what LeTiss has done in fond memory but who also support the path that Cortese is laying out. Some of the abuse of LeTiss and Osman here is quite unwarranted - both have done a lot for charity - and will hopefully continue to do so. Equally the abuse of NC is also unwarranted. He has said that there are two sides to every story and I have no doubt there are but he is not putting his side. Why not, I can only speculate but there is enough speculation without me adding more. However, I do find it sad that LeTiss went to the newspapers with this. As someone else has said, the best way to deal with NC is discreetly - that is how he does business. There needs to be some backing down on both sides and level headed sensible discussion. I respect Tiss for what he has done for us - which is immense - but the future is with Cortese. I just want to see an end to this.
