  1. Pure speculation - move on.
  2. Well interestingly I had the distinct impression that Crouch's lay off back to Jerome had more than a suspicion of hand ball about it (as in upper arm). I would like to see that again in slow mo. We didn't get it - they didn't get theirs - that's life.
  3. How can that be - there are some who think he wasn't playing very well and they couldn't possibly be wrong!!!
  4. It might make Turkish slit his wrists?! Now there's a thought
  5. The ones who agree with him
  6. I'm not sure that I agree Phil. Some of the undoubted masters of the past honed their skills on tennis balls - Sir Stanley Mathews for one. And I am pretty sure that George Best did not spend over much of his time as a youngster playing with a full sized ball. They were in short supply and expensive when I was a kid (about the same time). I don't want to trample on any dreams but perhaps it didn't work for you and your mates was because you weren't good enough
  7. Do we? Your opinion perhaps. I am not sure that I share it. This year's evidence is that Fonte can cope with the premiership and, on available evidence, Jos can't.
  8. Well at least it explains the last episode of "Big Bang Theory" !
  9. Too early yet to make that particular call.
  10. Don't be such a "clown" - you know perfectly well the point that I am making.
  11. Mayuka is the one to bring on when you are chasing the game. We were trying to see it out so Guly was the right substitution.
  12. So should JRod, so should Morgan, so should SRL - need I go on?
  13. Absolutely this.
  14. Puncheon ripped their left side apart all game. He has built up a really good rapport with Clyne. If we were voting for player of the season so far it would be Puncheon for me because he is delivering these performances week in week out. Everyone played well but Shaw deserves a particular mention. I cannot believe how well he handled experienced players like that cheating b*****d Jason Roberts.
  15. To be fair most threads degenerate into b\llocks because of slanging matches between the usual suspects. Personally I would like the mods to create some sort of function that automatically closes a thread when the post count on it from anyone poster on exceeds 5.
  16. Merrison's analysis was that in the first half we had 4 in midfielders against their 5 so we were being over-run. He suggested that Ramirez needed to drop deeper to help out. We did this in the second half hence our better second half performance. I only heard the match but Merrington is usually pretty good with his analysis.
  17. Not on Puncheon's current form he wouldn't. He's a good lad though - I'd like him in the squad.
  18. See references to Leeds above.
  19. What's your real name - and how do you look your children in the eye!
  20. To my eye Gazza has NOT demonstrated himself a better keeper than KD. His save on Saturday has been equalled by many of Kelvin's saves - so - you are entitled to your opinion but I disagree - strongly.
  21. You've got to be joking!
  22. How pathetic is this! I see no reason for us not to go for a minimum of a draw. As for giving Gazza experience - we've given him plenty and he has still managed a cock-up a game - near as dammit. Time for him to work for his place I think.
  23. To be fair, AOC would have trouble displacing Puncheon in his current form
  24. Probably because he has more to his game (which, of course, is not the reason you are implying). He already seems a class act but I have a feeling we have yet to see the best of him. The £12m aren't exactly equivalent either. Imports are always cheaper. IF GR were English you could have added another £5m.
  25. And if wasn't for the cross-bar, the posts and a blind referee and linesman we would have done
