  1. Yeah - our signings would be so much better if you were doing them
  2. Well, since he doesn't look like he has had any I wouldn't brag if I were you!

Or perhaps we aren't blinkered by our own prejudices

    This to the power 3
  5. Which you then want him to put on the internet
  6. We were cr@p today. Most of the time we are not cr@p. To quote a famous recent manager - blue line - move on.
  7. Not to me - unless the board knew that Lowe was on the way and wanted to install Souness. I thought that Merrington performed miracles that year considering the limited team he had. SOuness was able to bring in more, better players and still said that keeping saints in the Prem was the hardest job he ever did. I believe DM's reponse was "Fancy that!"
  8. All commentators and their "experts" have a tendency to say banal repetitive things. I would rather if was DM than many another.
  9. It will be full of JCLs who only started to follow us in the last 15 years complaining about how we failed to retain the Champions League Trophy for the 5th time and demanding Cortese's resignation
  10. SO no change there then!
  11. Harsh but quite possibly true
  12. This - but there is never any harm in another perspective!
  13. The Boruc one was quite clearly shown by TV replay not to be completely over the line. I am not sure of the point of your comment.
  14. It is certainly true that many young players don't achieve their potential. I don't believe that that will be the case with Gaston. IMHO it can take players a lot longer than you think to get used to a new culture and a new footballing culture. The Prem is really not much like any other league with its emphasis on speed, endurance and athleticism and a (relatively) young player can take longer to adjust. I would guess that Ramirez has shown enough to the coaches in training for them to back him. If he hasn't then they will ship him out. Personally, I would rather back their judgement than that of posters on here.
  15. I think that it is you that is deluded if you think a) that we would sell him b) sell him for that.
  16. I seem to recollect being told that expectng more than a couple of millions for Walcott/ Oxlade Chamberlain was in our dreams. I think that its more that red and white blinkers blind some fans to the real value of our players. Thay can't be worth much - they don't play for someone else!!
  17. We'll see - as I've said oft times before - its a good job some of our fans don't conduct transfer negotiations. My only disappointment would be losing Morgan
  18. Doubt it myself. £15 is less useful to us than Morgan. We are in a new world.
  19. This - we had turned a corner under Adkins before he got sacked. Any assertions as to where we might be had he stayed is just pointless, unsupported speculation. As it is I am happy with how we are going under Pochettino but I still think that NA was doing a good job and there is no particular reason to suppose that he wouldn't have continued to do so - but that is mere speculation.
  20. TBF Adkins did all he could to get a result but the players that he has are quite simply not as good as the players he had.
  21. As usual - it would appear that people nowhere near the incident have created a scenario that didn't actually happen - unless of course they witnessed a different incident!
