This post is like farting in a lift - wrong on so many levels "just about held his own" - he has near enough the best stats for a central midfielder in Europe! "No real allegiance to saints" - stuck with us from the championship through 2 years in League one and back up to the premiership. + the implication that 12m euros is a good price for him. Not if the celtic lad is valued at 12m its not. I am not saying he will never leave but I don't believe that it will be for 12m euros to Real Sociadad

Sorry about the multiple response - I don't know how that happened

To which I would only add " nor the technical ability on the ball". In contrast with the Spanish and Germans there is almost no British player capable of retaining possession under presssure.

Did you get the 's' in the wrong place? Sorry just realised that it was deliberate - a bit slow in my old age

He won't go to Cardiff unless they pay £12m. That reduces the leeway for agent kickback. Why should Celtic do anything to facilitate the move to Cardiff. They are happy to keep the player
-
Can you show they didn't?

What are you going to do with it if you get it?

I am afraid that you have failed.

God I am glad that Adkins left...how embarrassing!

Yeah - sure - anybody could have done it. -
I love the way that posters on here are always ready to bite hands off for sums of money considerably less than we eventually sell at

Heeey - we got one right!

I have no objections to being runner up in the Premiership next year
-
I think that he - and AL for that matter - have shown that they they are more than capable of playing in the premiership but they both need to believe it. If they can develop a touch of arrogance about their play then I would expect them to both kick ass next year.

Indeed. England have never demonstrated any need for a penalty king.

Now its every player who would consider their future
St_Tel49 replied to Gemmel's topic in The Saints
Amidst all the speculation, assumption and comment can I throw in another thought. Perhaps the differences between the Trust and Cortese are less about long term objectives and more about how quickly to achieve them. Maybe NC wants to travel faster than the Trust are comfortable with. -

With respect your original statements were your take on things. It may be true or not true - neither you nor I know -

Indeed. Morgan said no more than the commonsense point that if Cortese left and Pochettino with him then of course it leaves players in a new position. But I suspect that he, and every other player, would wait to see what followed - exactly as they did with the new manager. It must be said that if the Leibhers let NC go then they must have some sort of succession planned otherwise their famed business nous would be shown to be a myth. -
I don't want him sold - full stop. FWIW I don't believe that he particularly wants to leave - just my opinion.

If you do it week in week out you win the league! That's a big aspiration for a newly promoted team!
-
And they still only beat us as a result of something a bit special from one of our ex-academy
-
Didn't work for Adkins!

Your argument is a complete non sequitur. NA inherited a Reading team that was already doomed. Sorry that was a Reply to S-Clarke earlier. Blinking android phones!

And that is the rub. Prior to the seventies you could go to any game and there was no segregation and the yelled banter between fans could be really funny. The seventies changed all that and made watching football a far worse experience than it should have been. In fact the combination of dire Charles Hughes style football, cloggers and football violence caused me to stop watching football for nearly 20 years. I only returned when I brought my son to the Dell in the 90s.
