Clearly the compensation is not yet deemed to be suitable. In fact it would appear to be less than half of suitable. I think Morgan will eventually go - but on our terms - not Levy's. While that situation exists MS has no particular right to be peed off.

I expect, and actually hope, that a good part of the money is retained after the transfer window. I would like to see it spent on what is worth having than in a desperate acquisition of players who might do a job but won't improve us. Just my opinion.

I don't agree. IMHO the players want to go because they are having large wads of cash waved at them and our only possible reaction is to ensure that we get top dollar when they do go. My main concern is the delay in bringing in the new players that we clearly need. But I am not panicking.....Yet.

You could have said all that about Pochettino. Based on RK's actual record he is an upgrade but only time and results can confirm that.

On what basis are you making that pronouncement? If you had watched the Celtic v Barcelona - correction - Forster v Barcelona game you would see why he is so highly rated. I would certainly put him ahead of Boruc who is as capable of monumental screw-ups as many other keepers (Arsenal away anyone?)

England managers continuously obsess about having the "Big Club" players in the squad and forget that they are selecting a TEAM. That is what made Ramsey- the only truly successful manager IMHO - different. He was no respecter of reputations and picked the players who would do the job he wanted them to do. Rooney has never delivered for England; Gerrard has never delivered for England; Lampard has never delivered for England (and I quite like him as a player) yet, against all the evidence, they were selected. Mind you, was there anyone else?

The suggestion that LS still has some weaknesses in his game is re-writing history? VW is correct - he was caught out of position on a number of occasions. He is outstanding but not yet complete. He is only 19 FFS.
