  1. I'm glad that you are not handling negotiations.
  2. I cannot imagine that our scouting team have ignored him if he is that good. There are probably reasons why we have not acted.

    Pelle?

I don't think that he was referring to this thread. Look elsewhere and you will find plenty with their knives out.
  4. Ah - I'm not the only one then
  5. Not the way he played tonight. I thought that he was quite poor by his standards.
  6. Naah! Why let facts get in the way of a good prejudice?

    Mike Dean

I think that is you that needs to grow up. Someone disagreed with you - waah!
  8. Too much of a show-off for me!
  9. We knew that you would do it!
  10. And me
  11. Based on what exactly? I'm curious.
  12. I wasn't over-impressed with his demeanour when he left but I think some of the reactions on this thread are way over the top. Yes - he left - but we got a decent wedge for him which has, on the whole, been well spent. So my position is indifference. I won't be abusing him but neither will I be applauding him. In fact I would prefer it if he did not play because I don't want to be bothered with him.
  13. Did le Tiss say anything that was inaccurate?
  14. I don't know about that - their player looked pretty wrecked
  15. If either he or Davis could hit the target they would be almost the perfect midfielders!
  16. I wouldn't say that he was terrible but he was far from at his best. He has been out for a while and is clearly ring-rusty
  17. We need to stay in third then - simples
  18. In a sense they are. We have 3 games this week. Can we really play the same team in all three without seeing a negative impact? It puts big stresses on the players and increases the risk of injury. So which do you prioritise? - the win against Ipswich or the win against Newcastle? Speaking personally I want us to beat Ipswich but I want us to beat Newcastle more. If we did beat Newcastle it would be no guarantee that we will make the CL but equally winning tonight is no guarantee that we will win the FA cup.
  19. 4th because it makes it more likely that we can retain/ attract the talent we want if we have a CL place. I don't believe that winning the FA Cup (much as I would like to) would be as influential.
  20. Rest assured that if it had been Pele on Smalling in our box the penalty would have been given! It was outrageous how blatant Smalling's shirt pulling was yet Dowd did nothing! I normally stand up for referees but in situations like that they deserve all the contempt that is poured on them. That is just weakness.

    Ched Evans

LEts throw this article by Alison Pearson into the discussion. I hope that it is not behind a pay wall; http://www.telegraph.co.uk/women/womens-health/11330571/Reason-plays-no-part-in-the-Ched-Evans-saga.html
  22. God - some of you guys are right up your own backside leaping on a bit of hyperbole as though he meant it literally. His point was that compared to most League 1 players he appeared that way. And if you want to be literal neither AL or RL were geniuses either - just very good players (and I am a big fan of both)
