Having Rudi playing on the left made a substantial difference. If we have to pay him then let us damn well play him.
-
It was a few - not the majority - but I do know that Lallana's parents were less than impressed by it
-
I was there and no, don't feel sorry for me. It was a very good game to watch - edge of the seat stuff. First half we had them chasing shadows - second half we seemed to run out of steam and it was backs to the wall defending. Only downside of some noisy Saints support was the fact that some fans started abusing McGoldrick. We are nil-nil, backs to the wall, so we support by abusing one of our own players. Go figure!!!!
-
A reasonable summary IMHO.

Which people? - I think we should know. I don't have a problem with condemning Lowe, Wilde, Crouch, Uncle Tom Cobley et al on the basis of behaviour that is known to be fact but I would not condemn any of them on rumour and innuendo. There has been a lot of that whoever has been in charge

What basis have you for this belief apart from prejudice?
-
That is unquestionably the key moment.

Fulthorpe had better get a move on then

Was / Is NP a 'Bootboy' and can we get real about what we need to do?

I agree with pretty much everything you say - especially about Oakley - but we are where we are. There is no future in looking back. I would have been more than happy to keep Pearson but JP is doing as well as can be expected with what he has been given. -
Best and Blackstock are examples of what can happen if you discard young players too soon - they come back to bite you. I think that McGoldrick has a lot of ability but is still learning discipline in what is not his natural position. I think that dropping him for a game or two would be no bad thing but I certainly would not want to see him go.

In two of the goals Mills was caught on the wrong side of his man. He was good in attack but his defensive play was very poor. Mind you he was not the only one at fault there. Do they do any work on defence in training??
-
Did they ask for their account details so that they could put the money in
-
How come that when someone states the bleeding obvious that they become a Lowe Luvvie? I have asked before and I'll ask again because I am genuinely interested to know - what is your proposal? If you have already answered and I've missed it then point me to the link.

Harsh - very harsh - he was nowhere near as bad as that IMHO. He was not outstanding - just steady. A solid enough debut. -

Wes, I think that we EXPECTED Blackpool to be crap - but they weren't. They have just turned Birmingham over at home too (by the same 1 goal margin). Blackpool will categorically NOT be one of the relegation contenders. -
Not Three Words

Clarify please

.. and are you happy to see the club go to the wall just prove your point??

I would mark Wotton, Gillett and Lallana a bit higher than that but broadly agree. I felt that we played well until we got into the last quarter of the pitch where the final pass or decision let us down. I too would like to have seen Stern John brought on earlier if only to rough up their big lumps a bit more. -

What do you propose that we do Alps? -
Some may be but a lot fewer than you appear to think. I am quite convinced that if the team went on a winning run attendances would rapidly grow. Nothing like winning to make you feel good. The anti-Lowe stayaways will probably still stay away but so what!
-
DD, I suspect that if you put those together into one team they would not win anything - that is what their past record suggests. Take some key foreigners out and I suspect you find that neither Man U nor Chelsea would be remotely invincible.
-
But, sadly, not the standard of English football. In an English Premiership team how many are English - or even British? The pendulum has gone too far and we now have very average players being paid obscene wages. Their averageness becomes obvious when they play internationals.
