  1. Nice to see a post from someone who does not believe that their opinion is the intractable truth.
  2. That in itself is of no significance. Lowe has made good unexpected choices (Jones, Hoddle,Strachan) as well as bad ones. You could only truly judge JP as a manager if he was given a balanced team to work with. (Balanced in terms of Age and experience as well as youth and enthusiasm.) Given what he has to work with I cannot condemn him as a mistake. Is there anyone else who could a do a better job with the youngsters? Perhaps - but could somebody name him - and it would still be speculation.
  3. Well I go every week and I have not noticed I am getting any smaller ;-)
  4. H'mmm - for all the talk that has been spouted about takeovers there is not a shred of actual evidence that it is happening or is even likely to happen. You have to pardon me for not sharing your blind faith.
  5. Along with the end of the club. Good thinking Batman.

    Obama

A pretty long winded way of saying "I'll believe anything, me"
  7. Mostly ******** but if you make enough predictions there is a chance that one might come true - the principle I apply to picking my horses.

    Obama

On one side Bush, McCain and Palin and on the other Obama. H'mmm a toughie that was!!!
  9. That date of Feb 09 sounds like something that would only be known internally hence, either you really do know something or, like a fair number before you, you are making statements to manipulate opinion on this board. I am no position to make a judgement on that so I await the outcome with interest.
  10. From this I can only deduce that if you are right then something fairly major is going to happen soon one way or another - administration or takeover. Care to offer any time scales?
  11. I have no idea who you are LS, or who is right in your debate with nickh ,but you are coming across as someone with an enormous axe to grind.
  12. Guesswork - no guarantees at all
  13. It is amazing how many players dissed as crap on Saints message boards are continuing to perform well in the premiership. Perhaps, just perhaps, they were not crap after all which is why managers kept picking them. So pardon me while I continue to ignore some of the opinions on McGoldrick.
  14. That is what I thought when I posted the original message.
  15. Preston's website: http://www.pnefc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/MatchReport/0,,10362,00.html Ours: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=10839
  16. If you have not read his autobiography you might find it enlightening. WGS would never be anyone's poodle.
  17. There's on bad thing and one good thing that strikes me about this statement a) The self-evident self-satisfaction when you posted it b) The actual result
  18. And you are saying that WGS was!!!!!????
  19. H'mmm that must qualify as most unexpected post of the day!!!
  20. I do not believe that people (apart from a few die hards) are staying away because of Lowe but neither do I believe that the comments of certain posters on here are having any undue effect. I think that you are over-rating their influence. I think that crowds are down because our win ratio has been too low for the past year - and tickets are expensive in these straitened times. But, as I said on another thread, I wish people would just hang in there and keep supporting. I believe that these kids can make it but there will be a few more tears along the way.
  21. Absolutely agree
  22. I don't have information about the financials so cannot comment but under Crouch we played crap football, won very few games and barely survived at the end of the season. Under Lowe we are playing good football, winning hardly any games and are barely surviving at this point of the season. Six of one....
  23. You have just posted what has been troubling me for some time. The fans who say "I'm not going back" seem to be under the impression that if we go into administration then someone will just buy us. Yeah - we've seen the number of white knights who didn't come riding over the horizon for the past three years. In the current climate the greater probability is that they simply will no longer have a team to support. We have a team who as individuals would be an attractive proposition for many other clubs but who as a unit are still naive. I believe that they can get there eventually but they need support. I should say that the fans who do go give the youngsters excellent support - we just need more of them.
  24. .. and of course Saints had nothing to do with them playing poorly.
