I think that a lot of the premiership clubs would go for this due to the idea that only 1 club from the league below premier 2 will get promotion and that the 3 clubs that get a parachute payment will be reduced to 1 club that in the now equivalent of league 1 will virtually be able to buy thier way out of the league, this means an extra £80 million in the pot each season to finance the league payouts. They will not have any parachute payment between Prem 1 and Prem 2, but the Premier league will be able to negotiate a better deal with Sky et al.. for more games to be shown as there will now be 2 leagues, this will effectively ensure that teams up in the current premiership should be able to maintain prem 2 status through television funding. In our current situation of slipping into league 1 this will be disaterous, if we can not get back up to the CCC and get in the top 14 for the next few years until it happens.

So the 20,000 supporters represent about 10% of the residents, therefore just sell 10% of the artwork that belongs to them 350 items that should be enough to raise the appropriate finances to buy the ground, that will be rented back to the club and thus generating funds to reduce the council tax, what with the city council renting out their ground for pop concerts at a possible £1m per annum they would get a good return on their monies better than at a blinkin Icelandic bank !!!!!

The problem could be that if one of his cronies were to buy the club and got the ground for a knock down price the club could become quite profitable if we dont have to service a loan to barclays and avia and the average attendance would not need to be as high as it was. That is the fear that may lets the ****s back into our club. We need someone to buy that means we have no stadium debt or monies owing to the bank. Then we can invest some of the season ticket money into the team!!!

something along my thoughts, my sorce knows I have been a loyal season ticket holder

My source within the club (and it will not be revealed) has told me today that manager of the Ticket office went to the board of the club with his proposal for next years prices with two scenarios allowing for us being relegated, both were reducing the price, currently being paid, but two certain people who shall stay nameless rejected this out of hand and has told him there will not be any price reductions but an increase on the cost of a season ticket next year regardless of what division we are in. I personally can not confirm or deny this but he would have no reason to BS me on this!!

The only problem with that idea is that the club already has my money for the game being a season ticket holder, and so the only person being hit in the pocket is me!!!

Well I can tell you from someone walking at the back the photo's don't actually do the turn out justice, I was really suprised to see how well the turn out was, what a great cross section of ages, and how well the fans behaved,
