  1. We seem to have Everton’s number so far this season but I can’t see us getting anything at the lest ever game at Goodison, as much as I’d love to piss on their parade. We did manage to spoil City’s Maine Road farewell, which was fun living up near Manchester.
  2. Of course we did! Thank you
  3. Decent saves to be fair to him. Agree a loan makes sense right now. Hull just lost Rushworth by recall, Gav would be a very similar profile option. Not sure if they could loan him and Taylor though? You’d want a championship loan really.
  4. Reports suggest we are confident of resolving but no timeframe given. Speculation suggests that because he worked for 777 and not a club directly, that’s why he hasn’t met the criteria set post Brexit and we are the first to fall foul of the new rules set by the FA. Whether our appeal is successful isn’t certain but I hope it does work out as his CV is very well suited to both our needs and the wider club model needs.
  5. Yes, Downes £15m (up to £18m) and THB straight £20m. But they are starters for us next season if they stay. Only one you can expect to go is THB who should only leave for a profit.
  6. McCarthy, Bree, Stephens, Taylor, Smallbone, SAA, Fraser all fine for the championship squad in my opinion. Reports suggest Aribo will leave this summer. I’d also expect ABK and Onuachu to leave too. I do wonder if Onuachu would be a beast at that level but don’t think we find out. Outside of the players you mentioned I’d also expect Sulemana to leave. Interesting to see if Wellington is any good between now and the end of the season. If so Taylor can leave.
  7. Guess going up has at least given us PL money for this season, which should help the numbers for next time too. We just have to yo-yo again, but can we do it?
  8. Is this part of 10 year Solak plan? Joking aside we will have more freedom to spend and hopefully some pretty clear lessons learned, should we be fortunate enough to bounce back at the first time of asking, again.
  9. No wonder we aren’t competitive, we have spent well below the amount required to improve the team to be remotely competitive. Fulham seems quite impressive but they had spent a lot on their previous visit.
  10. Wasn’t he the guy that destroyed Bordeaux? They are now in the French 4th tier. It really could have been much worse than having SR as owners, we could have our club leveraged with debt and never far from financial oblivion. SR aren’t the most competitive owners but we can thank Semmens for not selling to Da Grosa. Not sure he would have even passed the fit and proper test in reality.

    Ivan Juric

We trounced them on successful passes and possession.
  12. I read we want €13m but would accept €10m. Might as well keep him until the summer at £2.5m!
  13. Wonder if we offered him a pro deal or not? Scored a few goals in our academy.
  14. Just feel Lallana and Smallbone is a strange combination.
  15. Why hasn’t Downes come on?
  16. How many times have we had PGMOL quote high bar and screw us. Where was that high bar for the pen? You can even see Isak move his foot a quick step to the side before diving over. They watched it so many times that it can’t be a clear and obvious error. Had to stick with on field decision. Unsurprisingly heads drop and it’s a 2nd goal in quick succession. Mentality is so fragile. Made me think of the semedo one at wolves where our attacking player was deemed to foul semedo. Both ridiculous decisions and there is just no consistency, barring one, the decisions going against us!
  17. Desperate to score against his boyhood club.
  18. McCarthy looks quite nervous. Wonder if he will assist another goal for them today.
  19. Tranmere’s 4th goal sticks in my mind as a kid. 3-0 up at HT, the magic of the FA Cup! Tom Davies at Everton did feel like relegation and Zlatan in the final hit so hard, we deserved more. We do have a knack of conceding late painful goals from a position of hope. The Southampton way.
  20. Debatable. Relegation all but mathematically confirmed but I would like to see us at least keep having a go in the remaining games. Les gives us a better chance of being competitive with Juric’s style.
