You acknowledge the team will need to almost fully change upon promotion, so why do that now as well? Might as well worry about it when/if we get there because we will struggle to attract PL quality players in the championship.

Another player that’s more than fine for the championship but not the PL. He wants to be here and cares about the club, I have no objection to him being here next season.

It was an open question about transfer activity in general but Juric does say “no, no” at the start of almost every answer, think it’s his version of “erm”. So him saying everything is quiet could be him just shutting the question down. I can’t imagine we let Cornet, BBD and Archer all go in the same window and not bring someone in? We still have the PL loan slot to use too. Unless we see it as sulemana, Dibling, Onuachu and Arma for those front 2 positions. Fernandes and Gronbaek for the role behind? Looking forward to this season ending.

Yeah I’m not sure if he would reliable, but his quality did show. If he could replicate his form for us last season he could still contribute but we won’t get to find out. Will be interesting to see how he gets on the rest of this season in the championship. Fernandes was a very good Stu replacement but Che Adams hasn’t been replaced well at all.

Yeah I see the logic there. Why can’t we just have a manager that sets up to get the most out of the players we have, the squad is there to come straight back up IMO, but we are going to roll the dice it seems.

Look at Armstrong last season vs this season. Or Downes last season vs this season. As MLG has reminded us throughout this window, we have a squad full of these types of players that should be very useful for next season’s promotion push. Why get rid now? Surely after a promotion is the best time?

It does appear that Juric doesn’t rate him. If we get rid it is an indication that Solak’s comments on Juric being here next season were true. I do also question how Archer fits into Juric’s formation but he should suit fast counters with his pace. Would he suit Rohl’s tactics better? He’s still very raw but just getting our money back on a player that should score freely in the championship, when purchased with acceptance we could be straight back there, seems like we are making next season harder than it needs to be.

I’d say Nathan Jones was the Poundland version of Juric. Juric’s experience might all be in Italy but he’s got teams promoted to Serie A and kept them there. Torino were very solid under him and not far away from Euro football at times. He was our first choice when we got Nathan Jones. Admittedly 6 PL defeats in a row and no points isn’t exactly encouraging but he’s walked into a team of championship players that have all given up because we are down no matter what we do. Apart from Mateus Fernandes who is the only player with real fight, determination and quality.

How can we yo-yo if we get rid of the players that excel at championship level? Are we even going to make a profit on Archer, seems unlikely?

The sooner we get an experienced and capable DoF in the better, we are just making it up as we go along this season.

So we’ve built a team of top championship players to get us promoted when the inevitable happens and we are loaning them out now our relegation is confirmed with the hope they don’t come back? Can someone explain what we are trying to do here please?

I’d rather have had Stu around than Lallana this season. Truth is neither are the answer anymore.

With injuries to Dibling and Sulemana, would leave us a bit short. I would rather see Archer on the pitch than Armstrong. Let’s say he goes off to Leeds and does well, he’d have had 1.5 seasons in the PL followed by half a season being promoted in the championship - would he went to come back? I do worry that he doesn’t have the off the ball pressing ability required to play in Juric’s system though.

Sounds like we can only hope Spors gets a work permit and Henry Hoovers up some good talent for us. Our recruitment has sucked for some time.
