  1. 1) Five - although it lapsed last year 2) It's all about getting the club to right point at impact, so how you do it is largely irrelevant. 3) Soft hands - John Daly says if someone pulls gently at the club it would slide out of this grip. People tend to grip too tight.
  2. I'm sure if you are on modest wages, the fees involved would negate any possible tax savings.
  3. I'm thinking about it as well but my student status complicates matters slightly. Anyone know if I could share it with someone and they could pay to upgrade to a full ticket for that game?
  4. As a concept I think it's great to see, but not time to get excited just yet.
  5. Wow that Wigan game on the 25th is massive already. At leat we have Arsenal early on, so lets hope they start as slowly as last year.
  6. He did sign a new contract till 2014 in July 2011
  7. Is it stated anywhere that the PFA is liable to pay wages in the event of liquidation? Seems crazy to me.
  8. Scheniederlin is our Makalele and i'm sure it won't be long before he's doing that in the french side. Although I think Cork is a great player I still think he needs to improve slightly in his attacking play. Get around the box more and score more goals. I know Morgan has been criticised by some for not doing enough of this but that's not his job and we need someone who does this to play alongside him. Sometimes when we lose control of games a little it's because our midfield is a bit deep for my liking.
  9. I use firefox on my laptop and Opera on my netbook. Opera seems to work faster and fits the screen better on the netbook.
  10. I'm sure that new bumper TV deal will help. You just have to make sure you have correct contingencies in place should the worst happen and you get relegated. Release clauses/wage reduction clauses in contracts etc.
  11. I cant see many League 1 clubs having a payroll anywhere near £5 million.
  12. Jaaaaaayyyyyyy, Rod - Rod -Rod ( to feelin hot, hot, hot)
  13. Never really played as far as I can remember
  14. If Nigel thinks he's good enough that's fine by me. Will need to demonstrate a big improvement on recent form though.
  15. Maybe that's why we are looking to Africa with Jaidi's new role :-)
  16. It annoys me when people say saints would have no chance against England. In cup competitions anything can happen. I'd fancy our chances against Ukraine, Poland, Czech republic, Republic of Ireland, Denmark and ENGLAND. If England were in the premiership they would be nowhere near being a top 4 team.
  17. Remember how good poborsky was and how that turned out for united. Be wary of good players at the Euro's
  18. That says more about those selecting the England team. Martin Kelly and Stewart Downing got in the team for heaven's sake, ahead of proven players like Micah Richards, Aaron Lennon, Adam Johnson, Rio Ferdinand and Chris Smalling to name but a few.
  19. Wher's that from?
  20. Agree. Two new centre backs is now definitely required. To me this kind of signals a bit of intent. Loan out the youngsters to continue to develop and bring in either better youngsters or just better players.
  21. I know. They really cant just accept what the vast majority of us can plainly see and that is that we have no hope. Just saw the France squad today and they are better than us in every position except one. Our one good player is Joe Hart.
  22. Rasiak got a hell of a lot of stick the season he scored 20 or so.
  23. So he's a good Lee Holmes.
  24. Are Eastleigh on the list of teams that don't like Saints? If not sign them up!
  25. If Chaplow goes we would really need to bring in two new centre mids. If Chaplow stays then one new face, who would go straight in the starting 11 is all we need there. As much as Chaplow dissappointed a little when back from injury, before it he was arguably our best player.
