Completely agree. I'm sure we did a poll earlier in the season about where people would be happy with us ending up etc. Peoples views have definately changed it seems. Also I know we are only 7 points of the playoffs at the moment but other teams have games in hand etc. I still think we can push for the playoffs and hopefully can get there, but I do not think this season should be classed as a failure if we dont make it. Our form recently has been exceptional and it is very hard to maintan that. If we dont make the playoffs i'll look at our poor start as costing us, not the games from now until the end of the season, unless we dont make any progress.

I think calling it a deterrent to try and justify its existence is a bit of a con. As if the fact that we have these weapons will discourage those hell bent on getting them from doing so. We are no longer the big player in the world we once were, so we need to stop playing with the big boys on foreign affair matters and start concentrating on the things that matter.

Well I think with right management of it you could achieve both, so its not simply a case of publicity or big fat cheque.

I think you might be right with that figure if we were playing in the FA Cup final. I'm pretty sure sponsors aren't as forthcoming for the JPT final and therefore will not require or want anywhere near that amount. In past years that would have meant there were more there on sponsors invite than actually supporters from some clubs. Cant foresee much problems getting tickets if we get there.

And also I find the idea that people are saying we'll only get £100,000 like its an insignificant figure. That is a lot of money for a league one club and as many have said the club is a business run by businessman, so they would certainly not dismiss £100,000 out of hand.

I find the whole idea of putting a charity on the shirt bizarre. It has been said that Villa used to earn around £2.5 million a year from their shirt sponsor, but now put Acorn Hospice on their shirt instead. Would it have not made more sense to get a sponsor and then make a big fanfair about how they were donating the money to Acorn. That way they would get the money and the publicity. So therefore I think a charity is a stupid idea.

Yeah must improve for saturday. If we can play like we did in the first 30 minutes throughout the whole game at Leeds we'll be a tough team to beat. If we pla like we did 2nd half (last 20 seconds excluded) they could get a hatful.

A classic saints moment. That is the best £9 i've ever spent. We were brilliant for the first half hour, but the Norwich upped their game and probably showed a bit more composure on the ball, but we battled away and thats what we've lacked in past years. Well done to Bart and also to Papa who I thought was great today.

I think if I remember correctly Liebherr said when he bought the club, that he understood we would be loss making in league 1. He would be looking to break even in the Championship and be profit making in the Premiership. I may just be imagining this but I think I remember something along those lines.

The charts really dont mean what they used to anyway. It's not just the xmas number 1, its just the charts in general.

Just watched Gone Baby Gone and thought it was brilliant. Ben Affleck is fantastic behind the camera and thakfully lets his far more talented brother take the lead role. The supporting cast is excellent and not for a long time have I seen such a thought provoking film. You really are left thinking what would I have done. Thoroughly recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it.

Think John danced with Christina. Lilia is a goddess! Also the new ginger one who danced with Rav is pretty amazing. Oh and Katya. Ok well there are a lot of fit dancers, who'd have thought it!

Awful first half, not helped by a useless referee. To be honest we didn't play massively better in the second but we managed to get the goals. Hardings goal was fantastic, but then the free kick from Rickie was just sublime. Thought we only really played with 10 men today as Antonio really was that bad!

Munich really is my favourite place in the world. When you combine the great food and beer with stunning scenery and skiing just on the doorstep, it really is like heaven to me. Going again in February. Never been to Oktoberfest but lots of my friends who live there go pretty much every year and they look like they're having a good tme in the photos. Maybe 2010 might be a good time to make my first Oktoberfest visit. Might have to think about that.
