In for me. In my opinion the immigration objection is a non-starter. The immigration into this country is overwhelming positive and contributes way more to our economy than it takes out from our services. Rather than blame immigrants for strain on the NHS etc, I prefer to blame our politicians for years of sub par investment needed to keep pace. Employment in this country is at record high-levels and even now there is a huge shortage of labour in lots of sectors, both skilled and unskilled. As other European economies start to recover in the coming years, we'll be crying out for all these extra workers people are currently so keen to bar from working in the UK. And as someone else said earlier, I just like being part of the gang. I'm for Europe ideologically and because for me the facts make sense. As for it being undemocratic, we have an appallingly undemocratic system - less than a quarter of people registered to vote turned out for the conservatives. Millions of people voted for parties who only got a handful of seats. Doesn't seem very democratic to me. And I haven't even mentioned the house of lords!

I'm pretty sure he's saying the exact opposite -

Housing costs have also been driven by a huge failure to build houses. I acknowledge immigration has had a role to play, but the non-implementation of any policies to help the situation has also been largely to blame. With pro-active policymaking you can get many of the benefits of immigration and limit the negatives = overall positive effect. -
There is a very full history lesson on the origins of ISIS and essentially the rise wahabism in Bitter Lake on the iPlayer. It apprently relates back to a US oil deal with Saudi Arabia post WW2. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p02gyz6b/adam-curtis-bitter-lake

I do think the way he's seems to have been completely ignored in our recent history by the club is a little pathetic, but boy we haven't missed him. Certainly a big part of getting us to where were were though.

I think I'd go for the start strong and then take a few off after 60 minutes if all is going ok. Exception maybe being Targett for Bertrand and maybe Reed for Schneiderlin.

Could not agree more. Yes he's tamed a bit now, especially TV and radio stuff, but I just love the guy. One of the funniest men around. I don't get and am on the verge of loathing Jack Whitehall. I have no idea how John Bishop gets on TV and Micky Flanagan seems to have had success without actually having any material.

Or ahead of Andros Townsend. I know we don't have a great pool of players, but Roy seems incapable of picking the best of what we have.

Well he's quite the evangelist!

Saints 4-0 Coventry City, back to the big time

I don't care what anyone says. I loved it when Adkins was in charge. -
Just in time for J-Rod to return ;-)

If that had been scored against us you would have been a bit annoyed at our keeper. But that's besides the point. Why he is not in the England squad is bizarre. He is by far the best English right back in the league and Hodgson just plays centre backs there instead.

To be fair to Ed Miliband I thought he made a pretty good point on the english votes issue today. Londons asssembly has powers to spend on certain areas such as transport, so do you then also say that London MPs cant vote on any English transport issues outside London. Starts to make the whole thing a bit of a farce. I dont think there is a simple solution, so cant see any kind of agreement before the next election.

Surely though it's only an issue if post independence SNP remain in power at the Scottish Parliament. As far as I'm aware the Scottish Labour and conservatives aren't proposing to get rid of it? That's what irks me about so much of the debate. Alex Salmond surely has no mandate to say what will be done post independence as he only has power to do it if he is voted back in. However, Labour has for decades been the dominant party in Scotland so will more than likely return to power either solely or in a coalition in the near future.

Liverpool vs Saints - which ONE player did we miss the most
toofarnorth replied to StratfordSaint's topic in The Saints
I'm pretty sure we wouldn't have conceded the second with Lovren in the defence. Just needed one of the CBs to take command and come out to challenge Sterling's header. -

Morgan and Jay to Follow According to Simon Peach

Well think our tactic must be than we are in a great position to guarantee first team football to any newcomers! -
I really could not begrudge him this move at all if it turns out to be true.

Where was Lallana 5 years ago. Would say Ward-Prowse is arguably a better player now than Adam was at his age. Still has time on his side IMO.

Well we know they don't have any sense. But yeah that would be the sensible move.

I owe a shed load of money on a mortgage but am financially sound. Stupid headline. -
Why so many rumours about our best players leaving?
toofarnorth replied to jasoneuelllfanclub's topic in The Saints
Because they are a talented bunch. I'll be happy if we get through the summer unscathed and add a new CB and striker. -
Agree with you. Would like to see Norwich stay up, but cant see it.

Young players are cheap. If there is a chance they will be a future first teamer, prudent to sign them up for a couple of years for probably less than we're paying Gaston each week.

If we need another defensive midfielder Chambers could play that role. Pretty sure he mainly played in Midfield when he came through the academy.
