  1. I am getting the replacement bus every day. It should only take 45 minutes max.

    Paris

I visit Paris regularly for work and love it. Agree about the Musee D'Orsay, its a fantastic place. French people I work with recommend the towers of Notre Dame, but it is a lot of steps. It is remarkably small and easy enough to cover a lot on foot if you know where you are going. There are a lot of scam artists about - look out for the gold ring - but I generally feel safer there than in London. You can easily get out to Versailles by the RER.
  3. For communications roles have you looked at the CIPR website? http://jobs.cipr.co.uk/
  4. Latest estimate is abut an hour for the replacement bus service
  5. just be aware that travel via Banbury might not be an option due to the landslide between Banbury and Leamington Spa that could block the line for weeks. It has disrupted my daily commute from Leamington to Reading.
  6. It was last home game of 2002/3 season that we wore the new kit with the red sleeves
  7. Youngest son now on third shirt - replaced by the shop each time without quibble after snagging and pulling terribly. But oldest sons' shirt, bought in July, is still like new. Do it looks like there is a quality issue with some batches.
  8. you can upgrade a ticket in the family stand as well. But in which case they require there still to be at least one U17 in the party.
  9. I suspect that Rhodes could score plenty of goals from close range for us, but wouldn't do a lot for the team outside the penalty area and divide opinion like Rasiak. £12 million is not actually such a risk. If he didn't work out we would get a fair bit of the fee back by selling him on to an ambitious Championship side.
  10. Driving to Crystal Palace has always been a nightmare, so for years I have gone by train. It is so bad that it is still a reasonable option for me to drive from the Midlands to St Mary's to get the official coach for £5
  11. Scored once last season - against Saints of course. Typical winger with no end product. Would prefer to see Isgrove get a run.
  12. I find it absurd that Keownis a main backer of the campaign when he was one of the worst offenders at Arsenal.
  13. From the back of the West Stand i had no idea what had happened. There was footage of the incident. But I have just checked the goals of the season video for 99-2000 and annoyingly they don't feature any games we lost without scoring
  14. See if Just for Keepers has local coaching sessions http://just4keepers.co.uk/. My son plays in goal for one of our local teams (at a low level) and he found the sessions very useful
  15. It wasn't just about Yoshida/Bony/Fonte. There were other poor challenges by both sides that went unpunished. Schneiderlin went lunging in within seconds of the kick-off. While before the red card Dyer committed a dreadful foul on the touchline and got away with a warning. This was though the same ref that allowed Wiemann to get away with a murderous challenge on Shaw in last season's home game against Villa. Mr Moss simply can't distinguish between genuine challenges and serious foul play.
  16. Comparison with Leeds and Wimbledon is entirely false as well. Leeds had to sell players due to their massive overspending so could not reinvest in replacements
  17. Radzinski for both Everton and Fulham
  18. Nonsensical decision. What would they expect any manager to achieve with their resources? I saw their first game of the season and they didn't look that bad, and were trying to play decent football, even if Lee Barnard scored Southend's winner from a penalty.
  19. The specific question is on winning away in Premier League after home side scored first. There was Chelsea 4-2 where we came from behind, but we opened the scoring.
  20. I have been to Grimsby's ground and found it rather pleasant. And its only about 15 minutes walk from the train station. They would be better off redeveloping where they are than ending up with a white elephant. Coventry have found out the hard way that a new ground isn't always the best answer. I know this seems a bit strange when we have moved ourselves. But there were two important differences - we knew that there was a need for extra capacity and we actually moved closer to the city centre rather than away from it.
  21. I was there - absolutely diabolical game. The Blackburn keeper who didn't make a save all night was man of the match. We were definitely in the old wooden stand, about 200 or so. The same stand I was in for the Friday night FA Cup game in 84.
  22. MLT's was of course against vastly superior opposition than the Scotland defence
  23. yes that's absolutely right - the 96/97 Souness season. Mickey Evans won it for us, Magilton should have made it an easy win but missed from the spot and Dodd took one for the team by preventing a breakaway goal
  24. Afraid not. He missed against his next two against Forest away and Wimbledon home a couple of weeks after the Newcastle game.
