Kanchelskis played 1 senior game - which we won. He was in the decline of a brilliant career that Redmond - relegated twice already - will never come close to matching
-
The author doesn't seem to recall that the game at Blackburn was a Saturday afternoon, not an evening game - or that MLT had an absolutely brilliant chance to equalise that he fluffed.

On the basis that almost every new badge introduced is awful and/or unimaginative - with Stoke being an especially poor example and Leeds laughable - I say leave well alone. It pains me to say it, but Spurs have far and away the best badge as it manages to be simple, iconic and historic. The same applied to Arsenal until they ruined it..

Does he think they were also being greedy in wanting as much money as possible for Coutinho?
-
Surprised they showed it in B&W. It was definitely in colour. MOTD started being broadcast in colour in November 1969 - its a common pub quiz question.
-
I am sure he is looking forward to meeting Mitrovic again
-
But there is absolutely no clash - our away kit is mainly black and Huddersfield's home kit is mainly white.

Although I have been a season ticket holder since 1969 I don't have tickets from back then, because when you renewed they insisted on having your old ticket back. It was only the early 80s that they stopped doing that.
-
When I started going in 1969 the best seats in the ground - West Stand Centre - cost 19 shillings and sixpence. Of course they were all sold as season tickets but that was what you had to pay for a cup game. That was assuming your ticket was 'available for cup games'.

Absolutely - anywhere but Birmingham

I suggest we name him in the squad for the Swansea game to show that he isn't being excluded. Then when he refuses to play it will be clear to the world where the fault lies.
-
In which case though he could have put in a transfer request and it would all have been over in June. And he could have gone to a club with prospects rather than Liverpool.
-
It is nonsense that they expect to sell the logo as an add-on extra. It should come as an integral part of the replica shirt.

One of the best I have read recently is 'I'm not really here' by Paul Lake

I think the situation is not unlike Kevin Davies. We can beat ourselves up over how well he did for Bolton for 10 years after leaving us, but that would never have happened had he stayed. This is the opportunity for the player to reinvent himself and for Saints to get something out of it as well.
-
Will public transport to Wembley be running then?
-
Have you been able to convert the 88/89 and 89/90 season review tapes to DVD? They have some form of copy protection on them that stopped me converting to DVD. The season compilations from later years I have been able to convert with no problem.
-
Not official Saints but there is a Big Match compliation DVD that features a number of Saints games
-
i wondered that. But is because they are counting managers appointed since 1960 and Ted Bates was appointed before then. It's a silly way of doing things because it also leaves out Bill Nicolson

While we might agree that we shouldn't need to change at West Brom or Brighton I think we will. Last time round we had this kit we changed at West Brom, Newcastle and any team in blue and white stripes eg Sheffield Wednesday. Of course that was a long time ago and attitudes have changed. Back then no one would have dreamed that Everton would not change their kit when playing at Manchester City.
-
Since the home kit is going to clash with teams that are predominately all-red and predominately all-white as well as with red/blue/navy/black stripes the away kit is going to see a lot of action. Of course if we are going for the full 1980 effect we could have a special all-red version for West Brom and Newcastle etc. Which doesn't solve Bournemouth - assuming they have classic red and black stripes. Maybe we keep the white cup final shirt going as well?

The same for me. I lost about two grands worth of shares. When i say 'lost' it wasn't exactly lost because I would never have sold the shares. It might have been nice for former shareholders to have some sort of acknowledgement after the take over. I know that's naive.

I would love Bertrand to stay. But I wouldn't begrudge him a move because he has done three seasons, which is a reasonable tour of duty. And it must be gutting for him to know that despite being the best english LB his international place is in doubt simply because he plays for us. In just the same way that Johnoson was getting in ahead of Clyne when he was here.

I was relatively in favour of Silva until the Palace game. When the Hull players needed to be up for it they offered nothing. It reminded me of how Arry failed to inspire us away at Blackburn in 2005 against a side who were never going to compete because of the semi-final the next week.
