But suppose he gets lucky with a point at Arsenal? That could put the sacking off by a month
-
The thing about managers is that they have a ridiculous belief in their own abilities. If we made the change now they would have 31 games (after Arsenal) and a transfer window to do it in. And the rewards for pulling it off would be enormous in terms of opening up opportunities with top 10 clubs

Since Martin achieved what he was asked to do last season I believed he had earned the right to have a chance in the Premier League. I hoped there would be signs of him learning. But there are none, he is patently not up to the job. I can see the argument that we stick with him and then he brings us back up again next season. But what will that actually achieve? We would come up with a team adapted to the possession game that we can get to work in the Championship. But it is not a style that a team like Saints can make work at this level because we are not able to afford the world-class players you need. While we do know that you can achieve survival with lesser players well-managed in a pressing style. What we need now is both a change of manager and a change of style.

Not that it affected the game but Oliver was awful. There were at least two clear yellow card fouls against us for which he did nothing. I blame our defence for switching off for the free-kick. But there was some justification when a player is writhing on the ground seeking attention and the ball isn't in the right place

We had tactics last night?

Walker Peters

Sadly that is what football has become. Winning the FA cup would mean everything to us. But United had two decades of winning everything and the United fans I know couldn't really care less about that win

There is a 10% discount for season ticket holders "at selected points of the season". I guess now is one of those no selected points.

At last Fernandes has got what has been coming to him

How does Morsy get away with it? He should have been sent off against us last season
-
However if we adopted an NFL approach in this country, with the same teams always in the top division, then it is likely that Saints would not be in it

It was madness not to bring him on on Saturday where he would have done a better job going forward than both BBD and Armstrong

I think we can judge KWP's character by him not jumping ship on relegation. I think he would still give us everything. And that would be to his benefit anyway in getting the best possible deal when he leaves on a free.

Agree officials were awful and ref looked like we was willing a penalty opportunity. But I had the stopwatch on the game and it showed 8 extra minutes. So 7 minutes was not a bad decision. Regarding the extra ball, I have a feeling that ball boys are not allowed to enter the field of play.

My main concern is that after a period of away supporters being treated with relevant decency we are starting to see a reversion to old ways of discrimination. Because I think we can be pretty sure that home supporters did not have their wallets searched - a point they didn't answer. They quote 297 arrests by the Metropolitan Police for drug related offences at football matches last season - that is actually a tiny number considering it covers 12 clubs grounds and Wembley.

This is the answer I got from Brentford. They did not answer my question about if they thought it was ok to ask a supporter to justify how much cash they had on them. They also did not answer my question if they carried out the same checks on home supporters. Thank You for your email, We are sorry to hear that you had an unpleasant experience when entering our stadium at our recent match, this is not how we want any fan to feel at our stadium. As a family Club we take safety very seriously, sometimes having to take potentially unpopular decisions to deal with particular safety issues. Drugs usage at stadia has increased dramatically and until behaviour changes and usage decreases such tactics are necessary to combat this issue. There were 297 arrests at Football matches for drug related offences by the Metropolitan Police last season. Since we introduced this policy, drugs related incidents within our stadium have decreased. With regards to having your wallet searched, I can confirm that the request to look into wallets is part of our standard search procedure at the ground. These requests are conducted on a random basis and if supporters' refuse to comply, then they can be refused entry into the stadium. This requirement to participate in a search is part of our conditions of entry and ground regulations and signage about search processes is displayed at the entrance for visiting supporters. For reference our searching teams are all SIA accredited staff and as part of their training, they follow the Security Industry Authority policy and procedures. This is covered by Premier League Ground Regulations and is a condition of entry – the specific references are provided below: Section 6 All persons seeking entrance to the ground acknowledge the clubs right to search any person entering the ground and to refuse entry to or eject from the ground any person refusing to submit to such a search. Section 7 The following articles must not be brought within the ground: illegal substances These ground regulations can be found on all Premier League clubs website’s. I hope this information clears up your concerns around our search processes. Kind regards, Brentford FC

It is not acceptable to do this to away fans only. And it is definitely not acceptable to query how much cash you have on you. I am not expecting any response to my official complaint.

Formal complaint has been made

Really annoyed by security at Brentford insisting on going through our wallets. I don't think that is acceptable. They even asked my son why he had so much cash on him. He told them it was none of their business. Shame he didn't give the Ballotelli response.

Looking for a ticket for Brentford this Saturday
Kenilworthy replied to Saint_Rick's topic in Saints Away Supporters
Sorry. Ticket has gone -
Cornet could be a great signing if he is anything like he was for Burnley against us, when he was Antonio levels of unplayable. My fear is that he might be one of those many players who specialise in playing well against us but are otherwise not that good.

yes it is still available

I have a spare

Had he left to join a big team I would say yes. He went to West Ham. So no thanks.
