  1. That is a reasonable point of view. However, if he came to us he becomes a Premier League player, which is a big thing. If he scores a couple of goals then he can get a dream move to the likes of Everton.

I am disappointed to see the continuing nonsense of KWP on the left - with God help us Bree on the right yesterday or the poor error-prone Sugawara. Just play Manning, who verges on the adequate, on the left and put KWP in his best position.
  3. I am starting to think we are seeing the effect of confirmation bias in the way our games are being officiated both on the pitch and by VAR. Because we are so poor it is assumed that we are not worthy of decisions in our favour.
  4. There is also the factor that he is being played largely on the left than on the right where he is at his best. I absolutely love KWP. But if we can get anything for him in January I think it makes sense
  5. I wish it were any other team this Sunday. We never get any luck at Craven Cottage. We will outplay Fulham and they will win. Would quite like Taul Paul to take Traore out.
  6. Has a senior team lost three home games in a row by 5 goals before? Could be another record breaking night for us
  7. I think that Lawrie initially came in to support Branfoot. He was a big fan. If you read his Diary of a Season he says that when he was thinking of taking the Leeds job Branfoot was one of the people he would take with him. However, when he was back in the club he saw what a mess Branfoot had made and there was no way we could survive if we didn't sack him.
  8. He surely wouldn't go for less than the £32 million they paid for Livramento
  9. So push in the back on a Chelsea player is a penalty but a push in the back of a Saints player isn't?
  10. One thing I noticed is that when Villa had a corner we left two players up. It has taken about 20 years or more for us to this. About the only thing our manager has been flexible on.
  11. A very, very long way - even when you live in the Midlands like me. And wind whipping off the Irish sea. I have been there on business in the winter.
  12. Having just made a special pilgrimage to Bromley to recomplete my 92 I have a feeling we will get Bromley away.
  13. I believe Dave Watson is a record holder as the only player to be selected for three successive England games while with three different clubs - Manchester City, Werder Breman and Saints
  14. Its a reasonable take on the situation. But no matter what, RM needs to be gone now. If there is no immediate replacement then just appoint Lallana as caretaker.
  15. So awful were we that I don't think anyone mentioned that brilliant touch by BBD when he sublimely backheeled the ball straight of play
  16. Saints were very, very poor against a terrible Wolves side, even when they were 1-0 up their fans were getting on their backs. But the refereeing was also corrupt. When Mike Dean says a VAR decision against us is wrong then you know it is wrong. But that was just part of it, we couldn't get a decision, and when bad fouls were awarded then the card didn't come it. And there were two clear fouls in the build up to their second goal that the referee had a clear view of but decided not to see.
  17. What happened was that they built the John Ireland stand (now the Steve Bull stand) where we will be behind the existing stand. The idea was that once it was complete they would knock down the old stand and then shift the pitch towards the new stand and then reconstruct the rest of the stadium around it. But they ran out of money and ended up with a brand new stand 30 yards from the pitch. It got even worse as two of the old stands were condemned so they had a two-sided ground until Jack Hayward provided the money for redevelopment. Having clients who were Wolves fans I was at the official reopening game against Honved in December 1993.
  18. And Birmingham after they beat Arsenal. West Ham after they won the cup in 1980. Sunderland in 1973
  19. Not so long ago he came to St Mary's with Burnley and was Antonio-style unplayable. I thought he was a cracking signing when West Ham got him. But it looks like all the ability and confidence has been sucked out of him. Still better than BBD though
  20. I felt he was played last night instead of McCarthy to get a confidence boosting clean sheet. That went well.
  21. What would be really annoying if the new manager took us to something like 25 points and we realise that we could have had a chance of staying up had we took action sooner.
  22. Comments such as "worse than Guly" were made. But Mane did only take until October to get going, which wasn't bad going since he signed at the start of September.
  23. Its something that isn't as good as possession
  24. Maik Taylor was a very good young keeper who gave great service to Fulham and Birmingham. Had we kept him he would have solved the keeper position for us for a decade. Instead he was forced out so that Dave Jones could bring his mate Paul Jones in. Admittedly, Paul Jones was brilliant for half a season and then became dreadful.
  25. He also missed Lewis doing Downes on the halfway line. And there was a tussle between Haaland and Bednarek that started with Haaland. But City got the freekick.
