Odd decision as they were treated as Gods among men at Lincoln. Does Hudderfield really offer them a step up?.. I'll give a generous 4/10. - We seem to have spent a few years growing a bloated squad of mediocrity, especially in midfield and at CB, and all we shipped out was Austin, **** poor (and our under 23's and academy players seem no worse than what we've bought so what's going on here?). - Reed's parting gift of selling us down the river with Ings really winds me up. - Is our awareness and planning so poor that we only submit a deal sheet for a loan CB just in time on the last day of the window? The club is paying staff to be on top of this, are they also sub-standard? - Not strictly a "window" issue but Rohl's departure will effect us, I feel for Ralph as "no man is an island".

The consensus from my living room from four optimistic Saints fans watching the game were that other than Redmond and Valery we were ****, plain and simple, and Burnley were less ****. All that money spent on Ings and Djenepo, with one playing poorly and the other warming the bench, money "spaffed up the wall" as our PM likes to say, it's just slipping through the clubs fingers isn't it and we can't afford it. I'm concerned that we wasted the pre-season with going to too many countries / splitting up the team / Austin and Lemina probably being a distraction, we're not going to hit our stride for a good few games yet are we. I'm also worried that Ralph is somewhat isolated post Danny Rohl leaving and our coaching team may not be up to the job, a few more loses and he may feel quite fed up with things.

Well, I know I shouldn't be but I am a little worried by this. The stories post them joining Saints of both staying up late analysing matches and players, when others would have long since been in bed, and being generally a tight duo was very positive to hear. Yes, he may have left for perfectly normal reasons relating to a change of country and culture etc., but this is like cutting off Ralph's right hand and has got to have at least a short term negative impact.

All I learnt from that, primarily from the 2nd half, is that is that we've at least 8 players that will bring nothing to the team. I hope Klarer turns out to be a good CB as with a few injuries we'd be screwed at the back.

What on Earth was he doing on the right? I saw nothing at all to change my negative opinion of him, if we get a semi reasonable offer take it and move on.
