  1. More of a Kleba Chala than a Delgado.
  2. Then to be blunt and to the point why hell did we buy him? Did the club not do its due diligence or did he bullshit us about his fitness and / or mental health? I'm prepared to place a bet on him being sold on in the summer, a "mutual consent" situation, but I've not yet found where I can place it as I suppose it's too random.
  3. I'm beginning to feel that this may be quite a safe bet. If things don't improve soon, either we see him in the B's / U23's in the new year or the club stop brushing this signing under the carpet, I see him being loaned out in the summer (he's potentially worth to much for a mutually cancelled contract, and I doubt his wages would warrant it either).
  4. He's what Boufal should have been, but like others I'm worried that he may physically be a little fragile.
  5. If that was "effort" (you think "Sofiane the Show Pony" was giving 100%?) then I've been spending my entire working life giving 1000% to all of my employers! He was that guy in the warehouse who somehow always looks busy but genuine does sweet FA, and thank God we've now seen the back of all those "no party" idiotic comments on social media.
  6. All down to RH this one isn't it. 3 games, against different teams and styles of play so he's seen what he has to play with, and a week to recover / train / consider tactics. I want a win, I'm not expecting a win, but I'm expecting RH to show he can change things when he needs to and not vainly stick to a playing style that's not working. We'll see won't we...
  7. There are players in the National leagues as good as him, who'll move on to L1 / Championship teams at some point (which is his level), who would cost as much as we're potentially selling him for if we're desperate to fill our squad with the same mediocrity. He's all fart and no shit, with a terrible attitude to boot (he give Fabrice a good battle on the petulance front).
  8. Basic is good, unless you need embedded advertising etc., less to go wrong and I think it scales quite well 😄 Do you mind if I ask what DB you're running this forum on? Is it one of Amazon's own... https://aws.amazon.com/products/databases/ ... or a different one hosted in a VM on AWS?
  9. He's just another on a recent long list that looked good on paper, but has provided the club with very little, once he's gone his time with Saints will vanish into obscurity. Like many others he'll be off on a freebie summer 2021, to some French club more than likely where he can just coast along.
  10. I believe that Steve said the forum is now hosted on AWS, so Amazon Web Services, so not a piddly shared server host. Amazon just provide a very reliable service that you pay for, the customer is responsible for ensuring that their additional installed software operates correctly. Edit: All DNS points to AWS.
  11. That's a reflection of numerous factors, for example... # Inaccurate specification of the systems requirement, actual end user requirements. # Poor terms of reference, and testing against the vendors products, for the "down selection" of the available solutions. # An insufficient budget, leading to the incorrect solution being purchased or compromises being made, and potentially poor administrative / support training. ... an incorrectly operating new application or system is never a foregone conclusion, it's an active decision made by someone or a group of people at some point.
  12. No, they're not. Incorrectly planned and tested ones, or ones that are made to a budget that is not sufficient, will have issues.
  13. A dirt cheap appointment so that Demin doesn't need to dip into the Ake and parachute money, most of which will he'll siphon off in some way or other. I'd feel sorry for Bournemouth, we've been there as well, but their fans have such huge chips on their shoulders / talk shit about Saints so much.
  14. I want Watford to draw tonight, then us to spank Boscombe on Sunday, thereby being the team that sent them down. Noting else is acceptable.
  15. The most annoying fans in the office are those of Bournemouth, all season ticket holders, bleating on about how amazing Howe was when they were winning and how they'd rather be in the Championship now anyhow. I want Ings and Armstrong etc. rested tonight, so that come Sunday we can make a mockery of them and their confected "rivalry".
  16. The "weak spot" for me is that if Ings got injured we have no one who could genuinely replace him and get the same volume of goals. Imagine this season with no Ings, just Adams + Long + Oba, and we'd be in a relegation fight with three or four others. I don't think either of them are good enough really, but we've not got a pot to piss in so have to hope they come good or someone like Tella does.
  17. We're burning through cash there aren't we. In a traditional private business you'd be able to go down the route of redundancies to reduce overheads, but we're totally stuck with them all, and I think we all know the chances of selling any this summer are zero.
  18. I think a lack of competition, no Boufal and Djenepo to challenge him, may be having a effect? His finishing in the past two games has been appalling.
  19. I'm surrounded by Bournemouth fans, season ticket holders, at work and they all started doing this around two weeks ago (and I'm really biting my tongue every day). They're all sticking with Howe though, only one of them has mentioned Fat Sam, and mostly complaining about players with no commitment / passion.
  20. Does he, really? Romeu has been criminally underused by our recent managers, who seem to prefer rare flashes of brilliance over at times uninspiring but consistent performances. He's a few years of good performances in him yet, and if a good Spanish side wanted him and would offer regular 1st team starts if I was him I'd be off.
  21. Wahay 😃 Being able to like a post should be easier on database space than people quoting a whole post again to say "yes" to it
  22. Aaaargh! Still no "like" button for a post or a reputation system 😢
  23. Premier League takeover would be 'enormous stupidity' - Red Bull founder... https://www.espn.co.uk/football/english-premier-league/story/3039792/premier-league-takeover-would-be-enormous-stupidity-red-bull-founder
  24. We've had two recent owners in a row now who've had no interest in the football Saints play, just its "Return on Investment" and how the clubs assets can be leveraged. ML buying the club was a fluke, thank God he did, but it was just a blip on the road since Rupert Lowe came along. We're stuck in a horrible ownership no mans land, not enough reputation to be seen as a trophy and not enough of a bargain that can be turned around to profit from. No Sugar Daddy is going to come along on their white charge and start any sort of south coast renaissance, so God know who Gao would actually sell to. I'd love us to be a rich persons play thing as long as they actually knew something about Saints, but if that's not possible I'd take being Red Bull's West European / Premier League club as money would be invested and the club would be managed correctly again.
