  3. Indeed! http://www.ukconstructionweek.com/news/construction-buzz/1413-former-housing-ministers-under-pressure-over-grenfell-fire-construction-buzz-120?utm_medium=email&utm_term=&utm_content=Read%20More%20%3E%3E&utm_source=UK%20Construction%20Week&utm_campaign=Ex-ministers%20face%20scrutiny%20on%20fire%20safety%20standards%20%7C%20Construction%20Buzz%20%23120
  4. New ball due in 19 overs. If we can get a couple early so they are 5 down when the new ball arrives we have a great chance of forcing a result.
  5. Correct! and I think this is part of the reason Puel persisted with the 4-3-3 for so long this year; we don't really have a second midfielder suited to playing alongside Romeu in a 4-2-3-1.
  6. The interesting thing about that list is that 9 (or 25%) of our England internationals have been capped since we came back up 5 years ago, and of those only 1 (Fraser) was already in the England squad when he signed/broke into the first team. I think that's quite a good indication of our recent relative success (and possibly the weakness of the national team). Also in checking Wiki to see whether Ryan Bertrand had been around the England set up when we signed him I found this: - 'On 10 August 2012, Bertrand was called up to the senior England team for the first time, for a friendly match against Italy.[47] He made his international debut coming on for Leighton Baines in the 78th minute and cleared a shot off the line minutes later from Manolo Gabbiadini which eventually led to England's winning goal as England won the game 2–1.' Turns out Ryan and Manolo made their international debuts in the same game.
  7. That thread is hilarious - and a brilliant example of the pitfalls of pre-judging a signing!
  8. I can't see the video on that link - only photos?
  9. Putting aside opinions on the rotation policy overall, Sunday was the first time he has played a full 90 minutes in over two years, you can't expect him to do the same again 3 days later. Hopefully he will start Sunday
  10. Excellent result, and sounds like it could have been more comfortable. Looking at the league table now makes that Hull result even more frustrating!
  11. Are you sure about that? (calling Duncan to the main board)
  12. Trouble is, and at risk of turning this political, they're not really that either are they?

    Ralph Kruger

Is that not the exact message/statement that written on the back of the 'we march on' banners given out to everyone at the first home game of last season?
  14. Scored more goals in Birmingham (from 1 visit to St Andrews) than Villa have this season!
  15. Yep, disappointing after such a good effort to bowl them out second dig that the rain came back. Good news is that neither Worcestershire nor Essex and Glamorgan in 3rd and 4th were able to force a positive result either. If anyone's interested (and not going) tonight's T20 game with Kent is live on Sky.
  16. We did precisely that with Eddie Howe at Bournemouth before appointing Nigel Adkins.
  17. Interesting maths there.... Saturday's attendance was 28,000 (so says the beeb), about 87% full. It was also the lowest of the season.
  18. Really? Without wanting to derail this thread from the tributes being paid to Nelson Mandela, you might want to do some reading about the Northern Ireland civil rights movement in the 1960s and the actions of the Stormont government and RUC (police).
  19. Presumably because people live in them!
  20. No, you're not the only one! Especially chasing such a large total.

  22. This!!!
  23. Indeed, and more sprecifically to sit on the bench as understudy to a 17 year old (however good he is!)
  24. That's brilliant! That would be the Preston with a longer and more impressive history than Pompey (they won the double before Pompey had even been formed), and who play in a larger and more modern stadium; which was until very recently home to the national football museum. I can see why a trip to Fratton to play the might of Portsmouth would see them lift their game!
  25. Really? The Saints are representatives/symbols of Christian faith as a whole, not just Catholicism. Personally I find your (very) thinly veiled anti-Catholic sectarian rants on here wholly offensive and am quite surprised that you are allowed to get away with them.
