  1. 23 touches first half, 3 lost possessions with 2 of those 3 being crosses in our box. what I liked was the goal came from a haphazard ball forward, Che occupies 2 defenders then a great finish, we spend so much time trying for controlled perfect buildup that defenders have time to react too, the hurried ball also hurries defenders. Is a bit of a concern how poor we were for the first 10 mins of the second half though
  2. Yes I think Ralph’s greatest strength has been his ability to lower the expectations so much. I don’t think the squad is anywhere near as poor as many on here make out when they defend Ralph
  3. The team we played against today would struggle in the championship. no surprise some of our players looked better than normal
  4. 1) he wouldnt 2) for me it’s about what Ralph could’ve done to improve on the result, playing a left back at left back would’ve been a start with KWP getting beaten for their second, so whilst Ralph in the media points to the red card, he could’ve been better again with selection
  5. I don’t think you understand at all what I was getting at. I am not blaming the attackers at all. I know it was a long ball from the keeper, that it my point, it was a long quick ball upfield played before a defence could get set. We are not allowed to play long quick balls, we have to build up very slowly allowing opposition defences to get into position. ralph requires the same slow build up every time, and whilst he does that we will never be able to hit teams unaware or in space
  6. People need to stop with this crap cop out for Ralph no other manager would be picking the team he picked today, no other manager would demand the forward play be so slow in the build up
  7. It happens because wolves were allowed to move the ball forward quickly, which puts pressure of defenders the slow way we have to move the ball forward puts pressure on our attackers
  8. HAS to go, has to go now, otherwise we will be in 2004/5 territory we’re we just stuck with Wrigley for way to long rarely picks the right starting line up rarely makes the right subs Clearly doesn’t have the right tactics as the same thing happens almost every game, another second half lost
  9. Surely this is getting obvious McCarthy (I guess) KWP Stephens Salisu Perraud JWP Romeu Livramento Sarmstormg (fitness pending) Broja Aarmstong
  10. If Ralph had his subs right he would’ve made 3 and had 2 upfront. more points thrown away, so far we have only been poor in the second half against Everton and yet to win
  11. Yep, this is absolutely terrible and has the potential to derail a lot of other good work done over the summer
  12. This is what I was thinking, so how bad does McCarthy have to be this season to be dropped? He also already been instrumental in us conceding 2 goals and if he does become absolutely unpickable, what frame of mind will Forster be in when he comes in?
  13. Most of the business this summer has been good and made a lot of sense. this is just mind boggling garbage

    352 / 532

Just came on to post something similar. This is what I would play (assuming Armstrong regains fitness ………………..…….Forster………… —-bednarek..stephens..salisu tino………………………………………perraud ……………….jwp…….Romeu…… ………………..sarmstrong………………….….. ——-aarmstrong………..adams
  15. If none of them suit that position then that is a problem with Ralph. Competent managers adjust their style to suit their players, they don’t just say we are playing this regardless of how bad it suits us personally I dont think the formation works as with the full backs getting so far forward to create width and attacking options, it renders the Walcott / Djenepo positions almost redundant, so in effect we almost play with 9 on the field.
  16. Exhibit number 5,675,865 of this exact same thing happening under Ralph, would love to see points per game 1st half vs 2nd half under Ralph.
  17. If he does reasonable I can see this loan being repeated next season or two, and maybe then we can look to add in a purchase option.
  18. And I’m not sure even Danny had done that much prior too 26? One good championship season and 1 decent pl season

    Danny Ings

So if this is correct, surely this has to be a concern that so many players seem to end up with issues with Ralph and want out?
  20. Wow when I woke up this morning in Australia and saw this was the top thread, I assumed we had sold JWP for 27.5m, but to see we had sold ings for 30m is not bad news at all at his age, with his injury history and his contract status I expected he would end up at Spurs for 22m some of the overreaction on here would also suggest we have sold the 2019/20 ings for that price, there is no guarantee 2021/22 will be the same for ings

    Danny Ings

Big difference to the outside that you are comparing it too, if for instance your production manager leaves for something he feels is better, there isn’t a production manager transfer window that stops the business getting another production manger for 6 months, or forces the business to sign a production manager that day

    Danny Ings

The problem with this though is that what if this big club that Danny wants doesn’t come in for him until deadline day? Then we will have no time to replace adequately (as adequately as we can anyway).

    2021/22 Kit

Always amazes me that we have 100s of threads on here with people going off at Gao for not spending millions, yet people actively go out of their way not give the club their money.
  24. Ormerod spent a lot of our relegation season out on loan and didn’t appear in double figure matches as we had Beattie, Phillips, Crouch, Camara so not sure what point you are trying to make here
