Good luck Bart,it is a real shame, that the terrible injury at Newcastle in 2006,seemed to badly affect your confidence, just when it seemed that you might develop into a very promising goalkeeper with Saints.

Simon Jordan's Book - James Beattie Offer

Regarding SJ ,I always agreed with most of his out spoken views on football, especially his views on football agents. As an asside a very good friend of mine, who co-owns a very reputable local travel agents, had personal dealings with the man and said that he was one of the biggest arseholes that he has ever met in his life. -

Why credit to Lowe, adriansfc, every player that ever left the club in his tenure, was sworn to secrecy,so why not Lowe as well. Regarding Simon Jordan,I quite liked a lot of his outspoken, but very honest views on football. -
Dave, now I know why you keep well away from here, most of the time. See you in the near future. Andy

I hope Jay Rodriguez, proves to be an inspired signing, loves his time at this club and enjoys living in - The South. [ I honestly thought that he would not come this far South, but will hopefully be delighted that he has]

I am sure that if he had harboured any thoughts about coming back to Saints,it definately will not happen now.

According to the press reports [ if they are to be believed ] Green is after £45,000 a week, are we going to [ probably ] make a goalkeeper our highest paid player. That really does not sound plausible to me.

Eric Martin was a top keeper, who was very unlucky not to get into the Scottish side in the early seventies. [scotland had a pretty decent side at the time ] -
Michael Johnson and Steven Ireland should have been the cornerstone of Manchester City's midfield for years to come, proving that talent alone is certainly not enough to suceed at the top.

The Lancashire Telegraph, says JR is out of the country, probably on holiday,so this is far from a done deal. Also if a northern premier league come in for him, surely we will have a massive job persuading him to come South. As an asside,as Dog alluded to,he was absolutely awful at St Marys this season and did only touch the ball a few times in the game.

Team you most want to beat next year...
corsacar saint replied to Saint_Randell's topic in The Saints
All eighteen teams, but if I had to pick one,it would be Liverpool probably, never has a team lived so much on their golden past. -
All accidents caused by drink driving or dangerous driving carry far too short sentences, especially when they are halved for good behaviour. The poor family losing the two young boys have a permanent life sentence, will Luke McCormick? As an asside a really nice guy from Plymouth [ I met a few times last year ] told me the real reasons behind the accident. McCormicks wife was a bouncer in a Plymouth night club and Luke McCormick was sent a text by a mate,to say that she was messing around with another guy. The rest unfortunately is history, for that poor family.

Happy birthday Ron,you are a Saints legend and always will be. Andy

Stuart, that really would have been the rod that finally broke Portsmouths back, having to rely on us to keep going till the end of the season. As an aside I sent you a pm in 2010 about Gregg Schoool ,I went there in 1967 only, any way you replied and believe it or not I only by luck found your reply to that today. I saw a guy who was there from 1967 -1972 at twenty twenty finals day last August [ I

He would probably be a good signing, but he was awful [ as was Liam Ridgewell],when we took Birmingham apart, especially in the first 45 minutes at SMS last season. -
I personally would like to see us get Jason Steele.

That evening was the only time that I had tears in my eyes at a football match. The football was incidental, but it is not every day that you see your joint favourite ever footballer say good bye to the club he loves.
-
Manji, the comment I made actually said at present,I did not say we would not get promoted,so I suggest you read what is there and keep your childish comments to yourself.

What a totally abject bowling performance againt Derbyshire, the way we have started this season, finishing in the top 2 is just a pipe dream at present.
-
Well done to Alan Pardew, however whether he would have got us into the premiership as quickly as NA is a moot point. I therefore think that his departure was best for Saints and Pardew.
-
I agree with Shurlock, the second half of the Cardiff game at home,to me was pivotal. The second half we came out all guns blazing and with a decent referee would have had another two [ stonewall ] penalties. That 45 minutes, was the first time for a couple of months that we had played the way we had before Chaploiw's injury at Bristol City.

Nice one Papa,a very good read, look forward to the next one.

Congratulations to Dave Jones, always comes across as a great guy.

We've endeared ourselves to Coventry fans
corsacar saint replied to jawillwill's topic in The Saints
Coventry have some good youngsters at their disposal,I hope that they and the wiser older heads can get them out of league 1 at the first attempt. They had excellent support yesterday, especially when there was every chance that they were going to lose the game. -
The last 3 years have been fantastic, the previous 4 under Lowe were the worst 4 years in 49 years of supporting the club.
