The January 2013 HCDAJFU thread...
corsacar saint replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
We all know we need a couple of class centre backs,a left back, and probably another midfielder[ plus to ship at least 6 out ],but realistically who is going to want to come to a club, that in all probability will be so far adrift of 17th place and odds on favourites to go straight back down. It really pains me to say this, after the nightmare scenario between 2005 and 2009. I know we will be in a better position financially, but going down really would be a disaster. -
What does supporting Saints mean to you?
corsacar saint replied to bangkoksaint's topic in The Saints
If we lose a weekend fixture, especially on a saturday,my weekend is ruined and I am nearly 58 and yes I do have a life. -
Like Harding,Hammond was never ever good enough for the premier league, mind you that does apply to most of the current squad as well, some thing Gary Neville alluded to after the game last night. For those on here who do not like Gary Neville [ I personally admired him as a player, but not as a person, but have been surprised how good his manner and analysis are on the tv ] I think he is more qualified than most,to know a good player when he sees one.

Does any one on here, honestly believe we will stay up? We are devoid of inspiration and dreadful at the back,a recipe for relegation. This really is heart breaking, when had we got a couple of decent centre backs in during the summer, this could have probably been avoided.

Les Reeds managerial record in proffessional football, lasting 6 weeks at Charlton, says it all regarding his ability to work with senior players. Perhaps he works very well within the confines of our academy, but does this give him the right to be regarded by NC,as his right hand man,on the football side?
-
Does any one on this forum, have a clue what is going on at our beloved club? There are a lot of things that are concerning me on the pitch, not least of all,our dreadful back 4. However, behind the scenes there are many rumours of NA and NC,having fallen out and Les Reed [ what a success he was running Charlton Athletics first team,a few years back] having far too much of a say. Up to a few months ago NC,had done very little wrong in my eyes and NA had done a terrific job, however are they both now out of their depth? Finally and probably the thing that bothers me the most,is the situation with Rickie Lambert, his body language on sunday, was that of a player, who really did not want to be here any more, very sad and worrying.

Saints 1-2 Spurs // Post-Match Views
corsacar saint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
The first half performance, was right up there with the worst I have seen from Saints in 49 years of watching them. The last half hour, we decided to give it a go and were unlucky not to get a draw. The plusses were Mayuka and Rodriguez, the minuses a shocking defence, that are hell bent on giving the opposition at least a 2 goal start, virtually every game. If we are not careful,we will be marooned at the bottom of the league in january and no half decent defender will want to join us then. -
Another exhorbitant fee,if true.If it happens i would love to be proved wrong.

Daily Star: ... Chaplow to snub Crystal Palace move
corsacar saint replied to H's topic in The Saints
I prefer Chaplow to Hammond any day of the week, until he got injured at Bristol City he was arguably our best player for the first 3 months of last season. -
Summer 2012 HCDAJFU Thread - Premier League Special Edition
corsacar saint replied to Jimmy_D's topic in The Saints
Flyer a good mate of mine is a massive Rangers fan and he is delighted with Hoillet,I have to say I agree with him and fancy you for a top half finish. -
Not good enough for the premier league, this would certainly benefit both clubs,if true.
-
Watching the video of him,put up on page 1,he looks as though he maybe a great prospect, his kicking and passing looks immaculate.Granted that was in league 2,but he does not appear to lack confidence.

What a terrific signing, good luck at Southampton Football Club, Nathaniel.

Guly Signs One Year Extension until 2014
corsacar saint replied to Asaint4ever's topic in The Saints
Guly can be absolutely awful at times, but [at present] on his good days in my opinion,he is the best link up player we have and he will score some vital goals as well. -
Bender,I suggest that you track down every single one, of the unfortunate people in that photograph and give them all an unreserved apology. For good measure grow up.

This club means so much to many people including Nicola Cortese, who has done a magnificent job, along with the playing and non playing staff. Markus knew what he was doing when he saved the club and he knew what he was doing, when he appointed Nicola Cortese to run it.We as fans are forever in your debt Markus and thank you.

Whitey and Gemmel, hope to see both make the Wigan game at home. Andy

He was probably depressed because he knew that you were listening to it Manji.

At this rate, the Aussies will be calling Maxwell up for their 50over squad.

I am not overly enamoured with the new kit,but the most important thing is that the players wearing this kit, manage to keep us in the premier league next season.
-
In answer to your question, which most on the thread have totally ignored,I see no reason why Rickie should not have a very good season in the premier league.
