Would be an utter waste of money - surely we can and will aim a bit higher than some old croked injury prone no one

"Hey Nigel , you come and play us this season a real team in blue not like those pretenders in Portsmouth and Brighton - welcome to the big time "
-
But Appleton was adamant the prospect of putting on a royal blue shirt next season was one which appealed to targets. He said: ‘We’ve got an idea of budgets. ‘I’ve got some real mileage on my car, I know that much. ‘Nobody has laughed in my face yet. Not to hard then to convince these guys they are signed up...

My simple question would be ... Why did the company employ Kitson on 20k per week when that would have paid off 208 creditors - Would have been the right thing to do.
-
Nail on the head for me - if they are such a great asset with all this history , great fanbase, why has no one put up the cash - they really are self delusional bunch who believe their own hype in the Snooze - Its just a front and laughable that they stated that players loaned out to our promotion rivals may help their own twisted minds of seeing SFC fail - I don't want them liquidated just starting the league 1 with a minus 10 points , play the youngsters , pay off the millions they owe and then they may just get a bit of respect - 20k a week signings when they could pay off local business leaves a very sour taste in the mouth. If they couldn't awake a 'sleeping giant' with a Cup win and 7 years of top flight football, they never will. As Claridge put it, the club 'hasn't changed a bit' during that time.

My own thoughts exactly ESB

Nigel deserves a smack bottom allowing Bristol City 6 points this season

Nearly three years ago and 3 points away from the goal. Who would have thought ......

After reading the report I was akin to thinking this. * Pompey own Old Kent Road - with just 1 hotel - ( they haven't paid for their bills though) Whitchapel Road - owned by Uncle Avram - easy access to a nice Thai massage. The Angel Islington - A nice pub to do a bit of shady business deals Euston Road. Where creditors meet and PFC like to spell the name backwards. Pentonville Road. A stop off point to visit previous owners. Pall Mail. A meeting point to protest to the FA about hard done by the fans are. Whitehall. Where fans can meet MP Penny and her HMRC Contacts Northhumberland Avenue . ??? Bow Street. Meet the judges open day meeting point. Marlborough Street. Most prob worth stopping as we may visit them soon in some conference south league soon. Vine Street. ??? Strand More commonly known as Stranded in lower leagues for years - so a must stop off point. Fleet Street. Where some of the Snooze reporters would love to work Trafalgar Square. Nelsons column - Pay homage to an old sailor - not much signs of any Victory though. Leicester Square. A place to worship Lord Mandrich Coventry Street. A place to consider a SISU Takeover bid. Piccadilly. A stop over for the new Burger van owners Regent Street. ??? Oxford Street. A must visit as we are playing them soon. Bond Street. A place to pick up some cash that never needs repaying. Park Lane. A street to name their new ground after - In some local park. Mayfair. A top resort , quality entertainment AKA St Marys. Have a few spaces to fill - or any alternatives would be fun. The Chance card, community chest , its all a bit of fun....

On Sunday my wife was at a corporate dinner with some of the major sponsors and the Premiership was being discussed . Over the after dinner drinks some wise guy asked NC what will the supporters get out of Saints entering the world of premiership football. To the amazement of everyone it was replied a free seat ..... Apparently all of the seating at St Marys is being replaced during the close season and if fans can prove that they were at the last game of the season they can have that seat free as if to say " I was there when we played our last NPC game " all of the details will be released exactly one week after this dinner .. Save your ticket stubs if you are going is all I can say

In all fairness - who would have thought that we would do so well this season - not being out of the top 2 places all season - some credit to the players and manager. Just a thought I wonder if we would have been promoted already if we hadn't slipped up in one or two games

46 Born in Southampton - first home game 1972 I think it was Birmingham - sat on the wall between the west stand and Archers Road - first away game RSC Anderlecht - enjoyed many years of following this club...

Then, finally, a tiny crack - 'Obviously you always plan. There's a lot of planning' - although it was followed immediately by: 'But there are a lot of situations that could arise.' Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2110166/Southampton-boss-Nigel-Adkins-keeping-close-chest.html#ixzz1oEeOptCg The man should be in politics ... But a quality manager in all aspects - no bull****, no over the top statements - one day at a time

Yeah not a bad result ....

Blues administrator Trevor Birch said: “It’s very tough to lose Liam but the club is in a grave situation and we have to do everything we can to stay afloat. ‘We are receiving a loan fee from Cardiff, who are paying Liam all his wages, so it’s a deal that is going to make a significant difference to us over the coming weeks.’
-
Yes Liam - you were all in this together lol Oh until cardiff came along to pay 100% of ya wages I expect lol

VITAL parachute payments that could have helped Pompey though to the end of the season will go to former owner Sacha Gaydamak. Trevor Birch, Pompey’s joint-administrator, revealed around £2.2m in parachute payments from the Premier League will go to Mr Gaydamak in four monthly instalments. He will receive around £640,000 for four months from April, according to Mr Birch. Mr Birch claims the agreement was drawn up by the club’s former administrator Andrew Andronikou in order for Mr Gaydamak to vote in favour of agreeing the Company Voluntary Agreement (CVA) to bring the club out of administration previously. Brownie Pont ( Blame someone else) The News reported Mr Gaydamak would receive £2.2m first as a secured creditor as part of the CVA, which totals £16.5m. Mr Birch said he was not aware of the agreement. Brownie Point ( denial it's not my fault) On the parachute payments agreement, Mr Birch said ‘Our legal advisors have sent out letters to various people to see if it is allowed.’ Brownie Point ( I'm doing all I can) He added: ‘It makes it that more difficult for me and puts into doubt if we are able to get through to the end of the season. ‘It stops me trying to get any cash out of the Premier League that could put the club through til the end of the season. ‘It’s incredibly difficult – I’ve jumped on a plane that’s crash landing and trying to bring it down safely. There is a bigger hole in the fuel tank already leaking fuel . ‘The money would have given us a bit more time, maybe until after the end of the season. ‘Time is of the essence.’ ‘I’m just doing my best to save the club. All I can say is what affects me and that affects me at the moment. I am unhappy about that.’[/left] As previously thought - It's all a massive PR stunt to drip feed the inevitable that they are going down big time. Become friends , reduce prices, praise the bestest fans , talk to the "Trust" some thing AA refused to do scores a massive brownie point , releases unpopular CEO, this guy knows the situation from day one and has been on a marketing ploy from the start and they fell for it big time - Good news stories dripped fed with one or two bombshells dropped in between - but boy those bombshells are so damaging - still £2000 is going to pay TBH at least one mornings wages...
-
Trousers - wouldn't that just be so cool lol...... Anyone with an once of business credibility would recognise that the task involved to "save" the web fingered few is just to much of an ask. If it was an attractive business to invest in I believe it would have been done and dusted by now - Football clubs are a money gushing business and the only true cash is made in the premier league - they are years away from this, the ground is falling apart, the development of an academy is a pipe dream , their credit rating must be zero, they have so little to offer - oh apart from "The bestest Fans" all 14,500 of them who really showed themselves up on Saturday , I notice the at the News has distanced itself from this as I think they realise it's never going to happen - It only sales out when the big clubs turn up. The whole situation is becoming more cringeworthy every day, players rolled out to give up-beat interviews, working in the ticket office, making a video wow - What has happened to the local MP - she seems to have side stepped away now she has had her 5 mins of "fame" What is Cameron doing to "help all he can" Everyone who "claims" to be doing their best are in fact doing their best for themselves for a quick bit of publicity - Birch I believe knows the whole farce is going down big time and his professional credibility has to be left in tact - maybe he has seen what a tarnished reputation the previous people had - as one of the biggest issues was lack of communication with the fans - so Birch meets them .. Brownie Point 1 , Cuts the cost of attending a game, Brownie point 2 , Fules their delusion of best fans, Brownie point 3 , terminates the contract of the CEO, Brownie point 4 When the final outcome arrives that the club cannot be saved an i really do believe this will happen - Birch can walk away with 14,500 people saying what a top bloke he done his best , but the debt was to much due to the numerous years of poor business - It's not Birchs fault - he done what he could -
-
Birch and his sudden gushing of love for all down the road and they all fall for it - Get the fans onside - be their mate - and then when nothing is done and they become liquidated he can say I done my best and the fans will fall for the oldest PR trick in the book -
-
So PFC + AA didn't have access to the FSA website or were able to make a calculated risk in the first place ..... It's all so clear now its the FA's fault

Read a comment on one of our fishy friends sites and I'm not sure if this is true maybe someone more informed will .. But if they use the youth to fill places on the bench after a few bench appearances they become part of the squad and would therefore increase their squad numbers. Therefore not warrant any loans to make up the numbers, a tactic or just plain cheating again... But would like to know what the position is on this under the rules..
