  1. Yes, I'd sign him. He's talented, enthusiastic and he's got time on his side.
  2. Aptly, you'll find the Pinder video on page 3!
  3. I think it was when Maxine first met you!
  4. For their former player, Tony Parry
  5. International duty with Poland.
  6. Sorry to be pedantic, but I am sure it was Chris Nicholl who released Kevin Phillips. I think Jason Dodd was already on the books and Chris Nicholl released Phillips. I read it in Phillips' autobiography. Regarding Mills and Williamson. Mills (now at Reading)was struggling to get into our team on a regular basis and was tempted by Wigley (and the lure of Premiership football) to join Man City. Williamson was nowhere near our first team and went down a couple of levels and got vital first team experience there. I am surprised at how he seems to be so in demand and 3 million quid seems to be very expensive for a player who has had much experience at Championship level, never mind the very top.
  7. In terms of a basic wage, in his autobiography, Le Tissier claims that he never earned more than 4000 quid a week. I think we've had many players earning more than that.
  8. Snodgrass impressed me last season.
  9. Nope, that was Terry Burton who then managed Wimbledon and then had spells at Watford and Cardiff as assistant manager.
  10. I was coached by him after he got sacked as reserve team manager at Watford. He used to be a goalkeeper and has good ideas about coaching. He seems to be a passionate and dedicated guy.
  11. RIP Bobby. You were a fantastic manager and a very humble man.
  12. I haven't received an e mail other than telling me to update my card details as my card is due to expire soon. They're happy to take our money, but the service has been shoddy for a while now.
  13. I think David Unsworth has retired! What a pity! Still, I liked him when he was first at Everton.
  14. Hodgson tends to get overlooked because many of his achievements have been with teams that have punched above their weight and many of his 'successes' have been relative, but still very impressive. As for his time at Inter, he got to a UEFA Cup final and finished 3rd in the league.
  15. I thought that Saeijs was signed by Poortvliet, but I am not sure how much of an input Wotte had in this particular deal.
  16. When we beat Liverpool 4-1. That was the 1989/90 season and I think it was Jason Dodd's first or second game for us. Liverpool have not won the league since then!
  17. No, that was against Aston Villa when he was still a Liverpool player. 92/93, I think.
  18. A bunch of jokers. They're continuing to rub it in by making statements like this. They've just been wasting time. I am sick of hearing their excuses.
  19. I think it's Austrian.
  20. Jason Dodd Chris Marsden
  21. I've not tried that one yet, but have had at least 5 Hammerpot beers. The porter was very tasty. Hall and Woodhouse seem to be trying all kinds of strange things these days. Nettles, pumpkins and now dandelions!
  22. There's already a thread about this Keith, have you been having too many diesels?
  23. Yes, I agree. It could be a good quiz question as it would fool many people.
  24. Yes, but it was not at Wembley
