  1. The things you discover on a message board!
  2. I see what they're thinking by getting our more vociferous supporters to take a whole end, but as others have already pointed out, I wonder how many of the vocal fans will want to relocate so that they'll be sitting next to the away fans. I am sure they will miss the 'banter' is they're sat too far away.
  3. I remember watching ITV in the mid nineties. Luton were playing Watford and Davis saved a penalty (I think it was his debut or one of his first senior game).
  4. Antonio's loan has been extended until the end of the season and his Reading contract expires in the summer. Seeing as they were happy to let him play with us even though they've been struggling all season (FA Cup excepted!), I'd be surprised if they offer him a new contract and I'd also be surprised if we don't try to sign him permanently.
  5. It's always frustrating when you're leading and then only end up with a draw, but it's not a bad result really. Leeds only drew at Griffin Park and it's a tough ground to go to.
  6. Good news and a pleasant surprise.
  7. I thought it was the other guy who said it and that he soared like a salmon. I wasn't paying too much attention, though
  8. That certainly made me chuckle. I hope that rant was cathartic for them!
  9. Good news. It's looking we really mean business to make an impact this season, or failing that, next season.
  10. I thought I knew him from somewhere. It was probably in the Giddy Bridge that I saw him. Very sad news to hear. RIP.
  11. Connolly has never been on anywhere near the wages of Fowler, nor has Fowler ever played as low as this. I saw Connolly make his senior debut as a teenager and also saw him play regularly in league one in 1996/97 when he partnered Devon White (and Kevin Phillips) up front for Watford. I don't think they were ever in the same class category, but if we have Connolly, why do we need a player who is two years older and going to cost us a lot in terms of wages? I was a big fan of Fowler back in the day, but he's not somebody I'd like to sign now. I watch football every day as part of my job and the standard of the Australian League is very poor. Don't be fooled by his recent goalscoring exploits, he's way past his best, but I am sure his wage demands would still be fairly high.
  12. Injury prone, past his best and on very high wages. He looked good for Cardiff a couple of seasons ago (when he played), but I don't think it's something we should pursue.
  13. Show some loyalty, use bestbetting
  14. Good result. It's a pity we didn't get more than one goal, but I'm certainly happy with a 1-0 victory, especially as we were under a fair bit of pressure towards the end.
  15. I think it's too early to say either way, but I hope that Seaborne has more pace than Trotman. I think the lack of pace at centre back was something being exposed by the opposition. We've added a bit more pace to the side since the start of the season and hopefully it will make a difference. When I was referring to being cultured, I was primarily referring to Fonte.
  16. I think that Trotman is a no frills defender who does the simple things well, but he is not very cultured and lacks pace. Whilst you don't have to be a Rio Ferdinand at this level, I feel we're better served with the likes of Fonte and Seaborne.
  17. Rupert, we've missed you
  18. I like it a lot. For my job I have to check most English club sites on a weekly basis and the only difference is the colours. They're done to a (dull) formula. It's like the Status Quo of websites.
  19. I must say that I did wonder what that news piece was about! I guess it has probably received more hits than most news articles about the megastore!
  20. I know what you mean, but I was referring to the channels with regional variations I know how it looks, though
  21. Great to hear. It's refreshing to hear that there are still some decent people about. It restores your faith in people when you hear stories like this.
  22. They usually show the London programmes, but when I was using TV Catchup last week, they had Meridian.
  23. I make it 1 in the FA Cup (Northampton) 4 in the JPT (2 against Torquay, 2 against Norwich) 3 in the league (Gillingham, Bristol Rovers and Exeter) That makes it 8 in total.
  24. Wasn't he given the goal against Bristol Rovers at home?
