SSN reporting that S****horpe say the offer to Adkins is withdrawn

Cortese is a clown -
Andrew and Julian Lloyd Webber were at the Orient game primarily because they both support Leyton Orient.
-
Thanks for that. It's better than I thought it would be.
-
Does anyone have an up to date record of our league record (home games only) since we moved to St. Mary's? I think it would be interesting to see how we've fared since then and how impressive/depressing our home record has been since then.
-
Uwe Rosler?
-
If he was there with a view to taking over at Saints, it would imply that Cortese had already lined up a successor for Pardew, but that seems not to have been the case.
-
What a pity that Cahill didn't play that night. If that was his reason for being there, he probably decided to stay and watch anyway.
-
Why was he at St. Mary's for the Bolton game? Do you think he was checking out some younger players? Has he worked with Les Reed before? Do you think Pearce is a genuine candidate for the Saints job? Would he leave his job to join us? Would the FA allow him to do both jobs like Peter Taylor did? Looking at the teams that day, it seems that Davies and Muamba (although both were born in 1988) might have been the reason why he was there, or alternatively Martin and/or Oxlade Chamberlain...... or...... there's something more to it. The plot thickens! Gosh, I just want us to appoint somebody and get our season properly started.
-
I love your conspiracy theories! It's just a pity that you don't use these boards as much as you used to.
-
At least we know that George Boateng won't be joining us!
-
Maybe somebody like Martinez?
-
Nothing too different to what we've already read, but interesting to read all the same. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/sep/06/southampton-nicola-cortese-alan-pardew

Brolin! He's already had experience of managing in English football. He was joint manager of Palace with Lombardo. What a formidable team they'd make for us!
-
People never seem to quite grasp it. It's the same when Fernandes played for us as people used to wonder why he didn't play on the left. When he did play on the left, he was rather ineffective. Another example of a left footed player who played on the right - Chris Waddle. Now he was some player and what a 'footballing brain' he had!
-
Yeah, and you could tell that the photo gallery of yesterday's training session was at the insistence of Cortese. It's the kind of thing he'd do. After all, do they normally do things like that?
-
That's what I'd like to know. Whoever they are, they're certainly not high profile people. Also, should we read much into how Wally Downes was given a prominent match day role this season, with Wilkins taking more of a backseat role, at least in terms of giving instructions to players? Sometimes it's like Wilkins wasn't even there.
-
Thanks for the good times. You've been very harshly treated. Good luck for the future.
-
Les Reed!!! Pardew replaced Reed at Charlton, now this is Reed's revenge! ha ha
-
Oh my word. I definitely don't want that over the hill money grabber running the side.
-
What a ridiculous decision. This decision puts Lowe in the shade! I can't believe the decision, but also the timing of it. I am extremely disappointed and shocked by this.

Blackpool's undisclosed offer to sign Tyson has been rejected by Notts Forest. I doubt he'll be coming our way now, but stranger things have happened.
-
I saw Andy Parsons tell a similar joke on Mock the Week last year
-
As Ringwood is now owned by Marston's, I am sure some of their beers will be dispensed using the 'fastcask' method mentioned above.

Good luck with this. It sounds like a fantastic project. -
People think we've not had a great pre-season so far in terms of results and injuries to people like Richardson, but it could be so much worse! http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/jul/25/portsmouth-pre-season-football
