As it stands we are comfortably OK with the home grown rule. We have 27 over 21 players but this includes Lancashire (B-team) and Nlundulu (on loan until January). I've had to give up on the OS as the official source of contract info as it is wholly unreliable. There are some reports from usually reliable sources that Willy has signed an extension of one year.

My understanding is that there is a deadline of today to submit retained and released lists to the PL. We may announce something today but we don't have to announce anything - we could leave it to the PL to announce when they publish the lists in a few days' time. I suspect Liverpool will have a few days after the CL final before they have to submit their list so I doubt there will be any publication by the PL this week. All professional players under contract with the club will be on one list or the other. If we are still negotiating, the player will be on the retained list with the word "Offer" alongside him.

I think it will be earlier this year as I understand that lists need to be with PL by this Thursday. Of course, we don’t need to announce anything straightaway but the PL will publish the lists within days

As has Ethan Burnett as well I'll update the opening post for the 22-23 season once we have something official (assuming there is something official!) - unlikely to be before the last first team match.

He has this afternoon been removed from the B Team profiles on the OS. Not overwhelming evidence (e.g. James Morris is still there) but a good indicator.

And Marcus Rus/Enzo Robise - all three disappeared without any mention on the OS. Robise is still listed in the B team but the others were removed without explanation.

Yes, I agree - I'll assume 2022. We were never told what happened when his contract expired in June 2020 so it looks like that was a 1 year extension.

Yes, had a feeling when he was added to the B team squad profiles on his return from loan that this was on the cards, particularly as Scott and Latham have rarely featured since. Some confusion over who got the straight red card yesterday. The OS report says Agbontohoma but the red card in the line up is shown alongside Tchaptchet

I wondered about that but Liverpool have omitted VVD and named only 24 players, suggesting it's not compulsory (or I can't add up)
