Forster for me. My Celtic supporting work colleague is convinced that we will get him. Celtic wont be able to match Premier League wages. We definitely need someone. Don't see Davis carrying on next season and Gazzaniga is a liability.

what that fans who go to the games are ranked higher than friends of season ticket holders?

conference vs Eastleigh.

I actually think it was a good assessment of the game. Gave credit to his team where it was due (tbh there goalie and that was about it) and identified MANY areas that need improvement. Think he'd be a good motivational speaker.

I do feel they need our upmost support in these next few months. Clearly Southampton and Northampton and somewhat linked.

Just got back from the game. Like Norwich last week, we don't play for 90 minutes. First 30 minutes we were excellent. Then one error and the heads went down. Hung on to half-time and then gave away another stupid goal. I thought that we were going to get overrun at that point, but for the last 20 minutes we actually got back into the game. To lose a goal in time added on was a real sickener. It was only then that the Spurs fans woke up. Thoughts in no particular order - Lambert looked knackered. He simply wasn't holding the ball up well - Ramirez looked good when he came on - No idea why J rod went off - assume he took a knock - Spurs looked like a bunch of good players not playing for each other. Expect a big shake up in the summer for them - Team is still developing. If we can hang on to most of them (and its a big if), then we can only get better next season - White Hart Lane is really quiet. I expected it to be noisier than it was.

I'm tempted to go to Plymouth Portsmouth for a laugh

I know this comes up a lot but I'd quite like to see both sides of the debate. I get the idea that it will improve atmospheres at football stadia but also the counter argument that it will inevitably cause more unrest in the stands which is something I don't think anyone wants. So what do you think?

Bizarre game. Really don't know what to make of it, other than I can't see Norwich staying up. Far too casual at times. Got to 3-0, should have been 4-0, then gave away two stupid goals in the minute, and spent the last 5 minutes defending long throws before grabbing a fourth. Really not convinced by Ramirez. Walked over to the bench wanting to be subbed, as the ball went behind him and completely ignored it. We were better with Guly on the pitch. He has half the ability but makes a big effort and doesn't slow the passing down. Didn't think much of the ref either. He let far too much go from both sides. But it's another three points in our battle for 8th

I see that Eastleigh could well be playing in the conference next year. Does anyone on here watch them at all? Will they cope in the conference against many full time clubs? Your thoughts.

Genuinely think Schmeichel was MOTM. I know the lost but some of the saves he was pulling off were incredible. How he is only playing for Leicester I really don't know. Money I would suspect.

With the departure of Osvaldo, we are looking very short of strikers. I can see Lambert becoming more peripheral next season as he doesn't have the legs any more. Rodriguez doesn't suit the lone striker role and Gallagher is still one for the future. So who should we get with the Osvaldo money. It would be great to see Lukaku at SMS as he would fit the role and is still young, but I can't see that one happening. Your thoughts

This is blatant trolling. Are you Glasgow in disguise?

The line between "Happy Clapper" and "Wrist Slitters" is about an atom's width on this forum. If you are negative you are the latter, if you are positive you are the former. When put like that, I'd rather be a happy clapper any day of the week.

Am I missing something? We have seen some excellent football from Saints this year - probably the best we have seen since the Strachan years. I am losing count of how many teenagers have played for Saints this year (I think that it is seven, but I am sure that someone will correct me). We were in League 1 three seasons ago, and we are likely to finish 8th or 9th in the Premier League this season. I agree that the summer is likely to be interesting. MP may well leave, and my guess is that Luke Shaw is off as well. But the foundations of the way that the team play and the ethos of the team are firmly in place. We have the best youth policy of any team in the country. As long as the changes are managed well (and given the way that the NC departure was handled that seems likely), then we can look forward to next season being equally as good if not better. The hype of the Autumn was ridiculous. We were never going to finish in the top 6 given the depth of the squad and the inexperience of some of the team. I agree that the team selection for the Sunderland game was a mistake - which I think that MP now realises. The doom and gloom merchants on this forum wind me up. What do they realistically expect? After 40+ years of watching Saints I can honestly say that this has been the most enjoyable season since 83-84. Onwards and upwards

Calling a current player a joke makes you a ****. Show support for everyone or go home. Yeah, maybe he's not good enough but you can't support a club and not all the players.
-
Sunderland to get so many players sent off that the match is abandoned.
-
Admittedly two were against championship sides but even so, that's pretty good.
-
Mate, I would rather have you being wrong and we stay up than being right and we go down.

I think the point about persistent standing currently raises a good point. Imo, it's far far more dangerous having a barrier that is up to your knee (the seat in front) than one that is up to your chest. And if you have safe standing than no-one will complain. You have half the stadium standing and half sitting and you book your seat accordingly. It's the choice factor for me that is why it should return. It will take one hell of a lobby to go through though. A tory government approaching an election won't want to upset anyone anytime soon.
